ALU’s 365 of Untrieds – The Painted Nail by Nubar Citrus Sparkle
365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.As I mentioned in a recent post, I’m in Vegas for Cosmoprof which is an annual trade show where beauty brands, typically professional salon & spa lines, sell their products to distributors & buyers all over the world. It’s pretty amazing and after three years of attending it doesn’t get any less overwhelming or tiring.
Today I met with some great brands including China Glaze, CND, Dashing Diva, Orly and Zoya and I finished out the day with a stop by the Nubar booth to meet Nail Files star Katie Cazorla, owner of The Painted Nail salon. I already adored Katie after speaking with her over the phone and, in person, she’s even more adorable. Affable, hilarious, larger than life and yet totally down-to-earth. No matter what you think of her show or reality TV in general, you can’t help but love Katie. She’s a star and all you have to do is meet her and you can see why TV Guide Network would want to give her a show. Now you know that I went all fangirl over Katie’s gorgeous purple, Legendary Lavender. I’m actually rocking my second pedicure in a row with that color. This is no fling my friends. My love affair is strong. That left me curious to see how some of the other summer collection shades would fare so I decided to try The Painted Nail Citrus Sparkle next. |
ALU’s 365 of Untrieds – Chanel Peridot from the Fall 2011 Collection
365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.
Even though Chanel Graphite is the Fall Chanel color that caused me to swoon, it’s Chanel Peridot that is getting all the buzz. I even saw Bobbie Thomas mention it on her Today Show “Minute Buzz” segment along with LCN Magnetic Polish (yay!). Now you know I’m all about the greens but I haven’t exactly been champing at the bit to wear Peridot. Yellow greens are just not my thing. They remind me of cat’s eyes which, as much as I love my furballs, are a creepy color. I did a nail wheel swatch of Peridot when it arrived and felt pretty “meh” but I’m finally taking the plunge since so many of you have asked about it. |
ALU’s 365 of Untrieds – piCture pOlish Heavy Metal
365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.
I always feel pangs of guilt when I review a really amazing nail polish that all my international fanatics don’t have access to so I love when I’m able to get my hands on polishes from outside the US. piCture pOlish is an Australian nail polish brand and they have quite a diverse color range to choose from. Thanks to the generosity of the piCture pOlish girls I was able to select three shades from their line to try and the glitter fiend in me was instantly drawn to Heavy Metal. |
ALU’s 365 of Untrieds – Nails Inc Porchester Square & Electric Lane Holographic Top Coat
365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.
Given my love for all things sparkly I couldn’t resist popping open Nails Inc Crystal Colour in Porchester Square. I’m sure there are some who feel an embellished cap is a waste of money but I love having bottles I’m proud to display. It’s one of the reasons I adore the shape of Lippmann’s bottle. The design is so high end and vanity table worthy that you just want to show it off. Since I’m leaving for Cosmoprof Saturday morning I’m already in Vegas mode so I blinged out Porchester Square with Nails Inc Electric Lane Holographic Top Coat. Check it out! |

The hit UK nail polish brand, Nails Inc, is FINALLY easily available to US Fanatics thanks to their launch at Sephora. Select Sephora stores, including CLE’s own Beachwood Place location, and Sephora.com are now carrying the Nails Inc. line.
Fourty of Nails Inc most popular nail polish colors along with their Special Effects Crackles & 3D Glitters, Crystal Colours and treatments are headed Stateside and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. I’ve been a fan ever since I fell for their Kensington Caviar Top Coat at Cosmoprof a couple years ago and I’m so happy the line will be more accessible to us.
