Coming Soon – Deborah Lippmann at Sephora with an Exclusive Collection

Well it’s about time! Sephora will continue the expansion of its nail polish offerings with the launch of the Deborah Lippmann line at 300 Sephora stores and on Sephora.com this September.

DL was so accessible when it was carried at Bath & Body Works, many moons ago, and while I’m lucky enough to have a Nordstrom nearby, that’s not the case for everyone. This new partnership will introduce Deborah Lippmann’s creations to a whole new audience.

To celebrate, Deb created an exclusive collection of nail colors, just for Sephora.

Deborah Lippmann Lilac Win, Chasing Pavements and She Bop will retail for $17/ea. The glittery 99 Luftballoons for $19/ea

If you haven’t tried the brand before, here are some of my favorite shades. Top row: Don’t Tell Mama, Waking Up In Vegas, Today Was A Fairytale (glitter top coat). Middle Row: Do The Mermaid, Across The Universe, Mermaid’s Kiss. Bottom Row: I Know What Boys Like, Billionaire.

LOVE Deborah Lippman, and yes, I’ll probably buy all of the glitters (and that blue! GASP!).

I do have a question though: when brands do special collections like this, are they typically the same formula? Sometimes it’s listed as, for example only: Deborah Lippman for Sephoa — but is it the same thing?

    • Michelle Mismas says:

It depends. This is Sephora carrying the Deborah Lippmann line, not a store specific line like Sephora by OPI. So these are just exclusive shades in the DL formula to be sold at Sephora. It’s similar to how she created special colors for Juicy Couture a couple years ago.

I love Raspberry Beret, which I think only came in a mini; I wish they’d release that in a full-size bottle. Although those little bottles are really cute… the putty in the trio was more interesting than I expected, I have a ton of similar ones but no exact dupe.

Some favorites in no particular order…I Know What Boys Like, Believe, Mermaid’s Kiss, Between The Sheets, Makin’ Whoopee, Careless Whisper, Raise Your Glass, Some Enchanted Evening, Good Girl Gone Bad, Through The Fire.

I saw on your Twitter you have the Jewel Heist collection. Looking forward to your swatches, especially Rolling In The Deep.

    • Michelle Mismas says:

I forgot about Believe. I gave mine to my mom because she’s such a Cher fan. And yes, the Jewel Heist collection is stunning! Rolling in the Deep and Laughin to the Bank are immediate standouts.

Believe is a great color. It actually sat in my collection for a long time because I had originally got it as part of a set and I thought it would be rather blah, but once I put it on I liked it a lot and have worn it often since. Cher is pretty cool too, lol.
