Zoya Summer Collections 2008 Sneak Peek
What girl doesn’t love a little gossip or girly talk with her pals? You know you do, you’re a beauty blog reader after all. And the popularity of reality shows like Laguna Beach and its spin-off The Hills have caused us all to dish on the latest happenings of Lauren Conrad and her crew. It only seems appropriate that Zoya, a company with a history of giving its polishes names that just happen to belong to pop culture icons, is releasing two new collections for summer that continue the tradition.
Chit Chat and Gossip will be the next big thing from Zoya. Chit Chat is a collection of shimmers with names avid beauty blog readers should recognize and Gossip is all cremes with names that I’ve seen way too many times in US Weekly.
Audrina, Whitney, Lo, Elodie, Heidi and LC
Maybe it’s just me but doesn’t Elodie look like a mix of Lo and Heidi? Scandalous!
The Chit Chat and Gossip collections will hit shelves in May. Stay tuned for more images and information as I receive it.

Rescue Beauty Lounge for Spring
You read my swooning over Rescue Beauty Lounge Under The Stars, well now I’m practically drooling over their Spring collection. Why? Hello? Green! Do I need to say anything more?
RBL’s Spring collection pulls its inpiration straight from the bold jewel tones and brights seen on Lanvin’s runway. Alber Elbaz chose cobalt, green, yellow, red and violet to showcase his designs and Ji Baek has translated that to nail fashion.
RECYCLE is a deep blackish emerald green. This color makes your nails looks like precious jewelry.
PURPLE HAZE, a vivid violet, provides the perfect sour counterpoint to all those sweet garden prints.
YELLOW FEVER, a mouth-puckering lemon, will brighten up summer whites, and neutral shades of navy, khaki and olive.
And finally, a Lanvin dress inspired the re-launch of CHINOISE, my all-time favorite warm China red lacquer.
The Spring collection is available for purchase now through this special VIP link so if you want these colors, I suggest you order now before they show up in the magazines and cause a frenzy. RBL polishes retail for $18, which I know is steep. Personally I’d love to get them all but I just can’t justify that type of splurging so picking up Recycle will probably be my limit. My green loving knows no bounds.

Fanatic Feedback – Nudes
I’ve received a few emails looking for recommendations for a pretty opaque nude. I suppose with Spring on it’s way, people are looking for something a little cleaner but still not sheer.
My favorite nude is OPI’s Skinny Dippin’ in Lake Michigan. It’s opaque with two coats and has lots of sparkle but not so much that the polish feels rough or looks like a disco ball on your hands. Every time I describe it I give the same visual. Think of the body suit Britney Spears wore while performing on the MTV VMAs back in 2000. You know, before the crazy got loose and she stopped grooming.
So now it’s your turn. Tell us what your favorite opaque nude is. If you can, let us know if it’s a cream, shimmer or glitter. Help your fellow readers out!
