Zoya Summer Collections 2008 Sneak Peek

By on February 20, 2008
in Summer 2008, Zoya

What girl doesn’t love a little gossip or girly talk with her pals? You know you do, you’re a beauty blog reader after all. And the popularity of reality shows like Laguna Beach and its spin-off The Hills have caused us all to dish on the latest happenings of Lauren Conrad and her crew. It only seems appropriate that Zoya, a company with a history of giving its polishes names that just happen to belong to pop culture icons, is releasing two new collections for summer that continue the tradition.

Chit Chat and Gossip will be the next big thing from Zoya. Chit Chat is a collection of shimmers with names avid beauty blog readers should recognize and Gossip is all cremes with names that I’ve seen way too many times in US Weekly.

Chit Chat Collection
Gaia, Erika, Mismas (that’s me!), Lianne, Annie and Elke

Gossip Collection
Audrina, Whitney, Lo, Elodie, Heidi and LC

Maybe it’s just me but doesn’t Elodie look like a mix of Lo and Heidi? Scandalous!

The Chit Chat and Gossip collections will hit shelves in May. Stay tuned for more images and information as I receive it.

I’ll have to get mismas just cause its named after you. :) can’t decide whether to get heidi or not, on one hand it’s my cat’s name, on the other its the name of a psycho coworker…lol

  8. diann_co says:

not appealing to me at all

  9. Anonymous says:

awwww, i thought the mismas would be more green. alas, i don’t think that one will work with my skintone, which is too sad because I wanted to have one. Maybe I will still buy it and RAOK it over on MUA for a lucky lady it will work for. :-)

  10. CincyFan says:

Mismas was described to me as a lime green metallic so I’m hoping it looks more green in person. I didn’t get to see this color swatch until recently. It’s still very flattering to have a polish named after me so I can’t complain.

  11. Erika says:

This is so exciting! I can’t wait to see them in person :)

  12. Jenn says:

While the second set is pretty, those Chit Chat colors are just amazing! I have to say, I really love that green :) I can’t wait to try some of these!

Ooh I have to get Mismas just cause it’s named after you… and because I simply love lime… Thank you for the best blog in the world!

  15. violetnoir says:

Whoo-hoo, M! I will go for the Mismas.

Q:How cool is it to have a nail polish from one of the premier nail polish companies named after you?
    A:Way cool, I bet! :):)

    Hugs!

I saw the Mismas pic just now in a zoya catalog I got with my order. It looks like a darker, less golden lime green in the catalog than it does on the site. A warmer color for sure, but looks greener than here. Very summer!

  17. thedailyobsession says:

YAY!!! So exciting to see your name in immortal polish form! :)

  18. amanda says:

I just wanted to say thank you!
I am a new reader of your blog. I found it recently doing a google search on Zoya. It was your review that convinced me to buy the Utopia collection (my first Zoya polishes). I just put Irene on my toes and LOVE it! I never knew green was so cool..

Mismas looks so awesome, i think i will have to splurge on more greenish-polish now!

  19. The Glam Slam says:

Crazy! I love all of the fruity spring colors…but I don’t know that I want to be a part of the whole “Heidi” fame train!

  20. Allie says:

Love Mismas and the blog! I linked you on my new site, FIERCEosity.blogspot.com!

this could possibly be the greatest thing I have ever viewed. It is a collision of my favorite indulgences–The Hills and The Nails. WHAT COULD BE BETTER?

  22. BeautyChick101 says:

I will most definitely be purchasing Mismas! :)

  23. Daneen says:

Awwww meeechelle! We all know lime green is far from my pink fairy comfort land…but i will def have to have it bc its named after you ;0) <3 Nikki

  27. Lorena says:

Hi Michelle! I was wondering, I just saw the collection on Zoya’s website for preordering and now the chartreuse green color is named Bekka instead of Mismas. Why is that? Why did they change it?

  28. Anonymous says:

    2nding Lorena:

And poo on them if they did change it – your readers love you!

  29. Melli says:

I love the color of Mismas too (I refuse to call it Bekka until cincyfan tells us otherwise :)). How does it compare to OPI Pooltime Lime from a few years ago? My hairdresser bought me a bottle from a nail supply store and it looks acid green on my nails. It works okay with my skintone, but Mismas looks like a nicer color!

  30. Honey_lili says:

OOOhhh I want Elodie so badly ! I love the color even if it’s deja vu but it’s also my fist name ;) so cool. I can’t order online because Zoya delivers only in the US.
