Rescue Beauty Lounge “The Real Housewives Of The Tudor Dynasty” Swatches & Review
THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF THE TUDOR DYNASTY INSPIRE A BROCADE-HUED NAIL POLISH COLLECTION FROM RESCUE BEAUTY.
The opulent fabrics, quiet luxury and return of ladylike fashions brought to mind the British Royal family to Rescue Beauty Lounge’s Ji Baek. No, not the current resident of Buckingham Palace but the colorful (and often short-lived) wives of Henry the VIII. Known for her flawless, full-coverage cremes, for Fall 2010 Ji Baek infused opulent multi-dimensional shimmer with rich, heavily pigmented hues. The result, a collection worthy of even the most royal of fingertips. I’m personally not well schooled on the history of The House of Tudor, outside of my love for the Showtime series. Though given the popularity of The Tudors and recent series finale, this collection, with its strong fashion driven edge, is very timely. |
Cosmoprof 2010 Day 2 Recap
Monday was utter craziness at Cosmoprof North America. Christine and I arrived bright and early and hit the ground running.
We met with the teams at CND, OPI, Orly, SpaRitual and Zoya and I think by the end of the day we were both visually overwhelmed. You can’t really grasp the scope of how large this show is unless you’re here. Outside of all the major nail, hair and skin care brands that are represented there are a tons of smaller and international brands to check out. Three of the big trends I’m noticing are keratin treatments, hair tinsel and gel polish. The amount of brands that have come out with those three products is exploding. Check out our finds from Day 2 after the jump! |
Cosmoprof Sneak Peek – NYX Girls
We just dropped by the NYX booth at Cosmoprof and spotted the newish NYX Girls line. The old Girls line is discontinued and they have relaunched with new packing and an expanded color range. The polishes are available now on NYXCosmetics.com
Cosmoprof Sneak Peek – Art Club Glam
Coming soon from Color Club/Art Club are these nail decals, called Glam, that are along the lines of Minx but way cooler. The designs are on a clear background so you can apply them over polish and have the color show through.
According to the rep I spoke with, you simply apply them and add a top coat. They last until you take them off with remover. The plaid and metallic animals prints have me intrigued. I’m normally not a nail art girl but this looks easy enough that even a klutz like me could do it.
What do you think? Is this something you would try, I’ll update you with launch info as soon as I have it.
