OPI Color Paints Nail Art

I’ve been having so much fun playing with the new OPI Color Paints (link full review) that I haven’t wanted to wear anything else on my nails. And I haven’t! As a reminder, Color Paints are sheer, blendable nail color that are built for layering and nail art. Now, even if you feel too busy to apply anything beyond a solid color (me most days), they’re a lot like Pringles; once you pop, you can’t stop. Swear!

Today, I have a three nail art ideas for you that range from easy to advanced. I even tackled my old nemesis, the dreaded water marble. Though thanks to my new favorite nail art tool, I am finally over my aversion to water marbling. Check it all out below!

Nail Polish Flip Flops – My New Favorite Thing

Havaianas Slim Cool Nail Polish Flip Flops via @alllacqueredup

Havaianas Nail Polish & Lipstick Flip Flops

Okay, how freakin cute are these Havaianas Flip Flops? I spotted them on the Ricky’s NYC Instagram a few weeks ago, and thanks to a Twitter follower, I was able to pick up a pair at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Thanks to a $5 off coupon, I snagged them for $23.

A little pricey for a couple pieces of rubber, I know, but Havaianas are really well made. These are no $5 Old Navy flip flops that fall apart after one summer. I have five pairs of Havaianas, and the ones I wear most often are 4 years old and going strong. Plus, they’re purple and covered in NAIL POLISH & LIPSTICK!! They were totally made for me and like the BEST pedicure shoes ever, am I right?

Pick up your own pair of Havaianas Slim Cool Flip Flops in yellow or purple at Havaianas.com, LordandTaylor.com, RickysNYC.com and Zappos.com. They retail for $28/ea.

What do you think? Are they worth the splurge? Do you plan to get a pair?

a-england Rossetti’s Goddess review

There’s no better time to enjoy holographic and duo-chrome shimmer than summer. The bright sunlight electrifies the prismatic shimmer for an eye-catching effect. The a-england Rossetti’s Goddess collection, inspired by Rossetti’s painting of the Roman goddess, Proserpine, is a buffet of summer-fun sparkle.

Zoya Summer 2015 – Island Fun

Per usual, the Zoya Summer 2015 collection is divided into two pieces, sparkle and creme. We’ve already seen the sparkle with Paradise Sun and now let’s dive into the cremes with Island Fun, six full-coverage colors in bright tropical hues.

Essie Neon 2015 Swatches & Review

Essie Neon 2015 review via @alllacqueredup

Essie Neon 2015

Essie and China Glaze must be partying together, for they both used music culture as inspiration for summer collections. Whereas the China Glaze Electric Nights collection pays homage to EDM, the Essie Neon 2015 colors have a music festival theme. And like last year’s neons, these are bright but not truly fluorescent. They really should name them “brights.”
