Based on the “sold out” signs I’m seeing on Amazon.com, Beauty.com and essie.com, the Retro Revival version of essie Starry Starry Night has caused quite a craze. If you weren’t one of the lucky ones to score a pre-sale bottle, don’t fret. The collection isn’t on shelves yet, so there’s still a chance to snag one. I’m a notorious last-minute shopper. I’ve been known to be out shopping while the boyfriend is at my parent’s house cooking Christmas Eve dinner. Procrastination holiday shopping is in my DNA. Considering the number of people I see scrambling through stores this week, I know I’m not alone.
Department stores are my one-stop salvation, especially JCPenneys with in-store Sephoras. We have a few in the Cleveland area and I stopped by the North Olmsted store after seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens (so amazing!) to grab a few gifts for my beauty-loving friends, and a treat for myself, of course! With styles so bright and gifts so right, JCPenney is where giving begins this holiday season.

Amazing news, you guys! So good, I am giddy every time I think about it being true.
Let’s back up a sec. A few weeks ago I caught wind of essie releasing a collection to celebrate the iconic brand’s 35th Anniversary, Retro Revival. At the time, five past shades were named for resurrection. Then, during our last #NailGlossip chat (next one is this Sunday), Kellie Gonzo shared the rumor that Starry Starry Night(!!!) was the sixth mystery shade. I mean, could it really be true? That the sought-after shade was making a comeback? Well, late last week essie confirmed its revival to much fanfare.
