If there’s one thing I’ve come to expect from Essie’s Winter collections, it’s warm, cozy shades. Founder Essie Weingarten has a relationship with fabric that really comes through in her collections and at a time when all I want to do is bury under a blanket next to a roaring fire, she delivers that feeling in nail color.
For her Winter 2013 nail polish collection she is pitting rich, dark tones against power pastels, bringing a lightness to what could have been a really heavy palette.

When it comes to holiday nails, I’m all, “Go Glitter or Go Home!” And no one throws a glitter party quite like Deborah Lippmann. She is the queen of festive but chic glitter nail polish and while her creations are often duplicated, you have to give snaps to the originator.
This season, she is bucking tradition by giving us multiple mini polish sets to get our holiday nail party on. The Deborah Lippmann Space Oddity Trio with its pairing of eye catching sparklers and work friendly neutral really caught my eye. Keep reading to see why.

I spotted these beauties during my recent Bed, Bath & Beyond HBC visit and had to bring four of them home with me. In fact, I dig these so much, I’m going back for more.

Zoya Satins Collection for Fall 2013 – Nail Polish Swatches & Review
This Fall, Zoya is doing their part in removing the negative connotation I associate with satin. Maybe it’s just me but, outside of the benefits of sleeping on a satin pillowcase (it helps maintain a blowout), I always think of satin as being cheesy, like an 80s prom dress. Let’s face it, satin is a silk wannabe.
However, one look at the Zoya Satins collection for Fall 2013 and you know this is no shabby knock-off. It’s pure, luxurious color!
