Get Your Green On for St. Paddy’s Day

One day and counting kids, do you have your polish picked out for tomorrow? If you’re still scrambling for ideas, I’ve got more than a few for you.

Last year, I showed you some of my fave accessible greens including RBL Recycle and Sinful Colors San Francisco and since then, even more fab shades have come on the market. Take a peek at my St Patrick’s Day recommendations, after the jump!

Aside from the shades I rec’d last year, there are four more previously reviewed polishes that are a perfect St. Paddy’s Day fit. Of course I had to include my fave emerald shimmer, Barielle Date Night, one of the few mass market perm greens Sally Hansen Emerald City, springy kelly green OPI Green-wich Village and my dream green glitter China Glaze Emerald Sparkle.

Also, there are some great hues that I haven’t posted yet but definitely deserve some Irish love. Sally Hansen released a new line, Insta-Dri, that includes a rich forest called Jumpin’ Jade. China Glaze Cherish is a soft, pastel-ish option for those of you that shy from full-on green. On the opposite end of that spectrum we have Misa Let’s Go Green for a shock of lime. Finally, Rimmel’s 60 Seconds formula has adopted the now defunct Underground Play Fast shade Camouflage a gold tinged verdant.
All shades are available in your local drugstores or online at Barielle.com, Head2ToeBeauty.com, 8ty8Beauty.com and TransDesign.com.

Check back tomorrow to see what I picked for my St Paddy’s NOTD. Hint: You haven’t seen it yet!

Wow, what gorgeous greens! I keep telling myself I don’t need Emerald City, but seeing your swatch there renews my craving for it.

I have selected the neon green from Hot Topic as my shade for tomorrow, because it is a very happy, bright and cheerful green! I love, love, love that color! I wish I could get that shade in a non-neon version also, but this will do fine for now.

I picked Jumpin Jade! I love the color but the brush isn’t the greatest.

Hi I made a combo for tommorrow. I have two coats Sally Hansen lacquer shine in glow, a green with gold shimmer. and then two coats Green confetti, a dark and sheer holographic green from Claires. The color turned out amazing.

I’m not as adventurous, so I’ll be wearing China Glaze’s Wagon Trail. Hey, it’s olive-green-ish?

    (ducks head in shame)

My friends always think I am stuck in the 80′s b/c I prefer greens and blues to reds and corals…love your blog!! Makes me feel a little less out there.

I’m already wearing the Sally Hansen “Jumpin Jade”. I debated between it and Sinful :Daisy the Pig”

I’ve been crazy about Date Night since you first swatched it. Alas, I can’t get hold of it in the UK – even eBay has failed me.

I’ll be sporting a dark green creme by Ruby and Millie. I have a feeling it’s just called, uh, ‘Dark Green’.

I love your list! I had just finished painting my nails with Emerald Sparkle right before checking your blog. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Always impressed by those little $2 bottles!

I have on Sally Hansen lacquer shine in Glow. I used the fauxnad to stamp 4 leaf clovers in white on each nail. It’s over the top and super cute.

I’ve already put on my green on Saturday. I’m wearing BB’s Poison Ivy. I just love the color! I got it 2 weeks ago and had been dying to wear it. I fell in love with the color by seeing it swatched on all the nail blogs.

  18. Shattered says:

I wound up doing Jumpin Jade with Konad accents on my ring fingers and thumbs (in China Glaze OMG) Sunday night. Unfortunately, that was too soon because I chipped the heck out of it at work tonight!

  19. Jen says:

I’m wearing Icing by Claire’s polish in Awkward. I love it! My first choice was Emerald Sparkle, but I couldn’t track it down. :-(

    Happy St. Patty’s Day!

  20. Keri says:

I am wearing Sally Hansen InstaDri in Jumpin’ Jade. One coat, gotta love that! Besides, I almost always wear dark colours :o)

  21. Anonymous says:

Since I did my nails at the last minute last night (as usual) I went with Maybelline Express Finish in Go-Go Green – a slighly darker version of OPI’s Bikini Envy. If I had had time – it definitely would’ve been Emerald City!

  22. Erin says:

Today I’m wearing Emerald Sparkle, and Sunday (a pat’s parade here in CT) I wore OPI Green-wich Village

  23. Amber says:

I need that OPI Green-wich Village shade in my lifestyle, STAT!

  24. melly says:

How do you like that Insta-Dri? I’ve used it for pedis with great success, but I tried it for a mani and it was a mess. But I’m also not the best at manis. Any tips?
