OPI Coca-Cola 2015 – Icons of Happiness

Even though I cut out pop (yes, I say pop because, Ohio) from my diet over 20 years ago, I’m a die-hard Coca-Cola fan. I used to annoy servers during high school and college by ordering Cherry Cokes, made with grenadine and a cherry, natch. And I still I treat myself to a one when we go to the movies. Our fave movie theater, an AMC with recliners and assigned seats, has a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine that I love playing with to discover new flavor combinations. I’m currently into Vanilla Barq’s.

This year, the Coca-Cola bottle is celebrating its 100th Anniversary. The iconic bottle, given its distinctive curves by The Root Glass Company in Terra Haute, Indiana, is recognizable worldwide. To honor the green-tinted beauty, OPI has paired up once again to release two signature colors. The OPI Coca-Cola 2015 Icons of Happiness collection includes a re-release of some of last year’s shades along with the Two to Celebrate duo.

OPI Color Paints Nail Art

I’ve been having so much fun playing with the new OPI Color Paints (link full review) that I haven’t wanted to wear anything else on my nails. And I haven’t! As a reminder, Color Paints are sheer, blendable nail color that are built for layering and nail art. Now, even if you feel too busy to apply anything beyond a solid color (me most days), they’re a lot like Pringles; once you pop, you can’t stop. Swear!

Today, I have a three nail art ideas for you that range from easy to advanced. I even tackled my old nemesis, the dreaded water marble. Though thanks to my new favorite nail art tool, I am finally over my aversion to water marbling. Check it all out below!

OPI Color Paints review

OPI dipped their toe in the water of sheer, buildable color when they released the Sheer Tints Top Coats last year. While those were a good idea for layering, nail art, etc., the top coat formulation had its limitations, namely bubbling. Fast forward a year and we have the OPI Color Paints, a collection of eight intensely pigmented jelly polishes, and one silver chrome base color, that have a wide range of uses.

OPI Soft Shades 2015 Review

Sheers and bridal shades aren’t really my thing. Mainly because I hate the look of my natural nails and need full coverage. However, a couple of the OPI Soft Shades 2015 colors look intriguing in the bottle. And after reader Magda commented earlier this week that she is a fan of the pink glitter, I figured it was time to dive in and give the collection a try.

OPI Brights 2015

I remember when the first OPI Brights collection launched in 2005. I ran to my local Trade Secret to snag as many of the bold, summer shades as possible. I still have at least half of them in my collection, and the same goes for the Brights that have come out since; Bright Pair, Brighter By The Dozen, Mod About Brights etc. It’s one of the recurring collections I most look forward to and the OPI Brights 2015 collection is no exception. Keep reading to see if it lived up to my expectations.
