Multi-Color French with Essie Neons 2014 for #ManiMonday

I received the new Essie Neons the other day and couldn’t wait to play with them. So, as you may have seen on my Instagram over the weekend, I did a quick freehand, multi-colored French manicure with five of the six new shades and I’m still wearing it for #ManiMonday.

Of course, if you want a more consistent look you can use French tip nail guides or even Band-Aids but when it’s the freakin’ weekend, I ain’t got time for that! If you want to see how I freehand a French, check out my Roll Your Way To A French Tip video tutorial.

The base colors (l-r): Essie Sittin’ Pretty, Essie Chills  & Thrills, Essie I’m Addicted, Essie Vices Versa, Essie Too Taboo

A full review is coming soon but, in the meantime, you can purchase the Essie Neons 2014 at Essie.com and Beauty.com. Essie nail polish retails for $8.50/ea for a .5oz bottle.

What are you wearing for this #ManiMonday? Have you seen the Essie Neons yet?

My office, aka The Polish Room, looks out over the backyard and given that we live on a close-knit street filled with active little kids, it’s common to see them running by, playing games after school. Especially now that spring has finally sprung.

Seeing them streak across the yards reminds me of building forts and endless games of Tag with my neighborhood friends. With names like Fashion Playground, Hide & Go Chic and Truth of Flare, the Essie Spring 2014 collection takes me right back to childhood, making me nostalgic for summer days of playing from dawn to dusk.

Essie Resort Fling DIY Subtle Sparkle #ManiMonday

It’s no secret that Essie Resort Fling is one of my fave shades for spring. The peachy, coral creme jelly (sorry the word “crelly” makes my skin crawl), is near perfect. The only thing that could make it better is that subdued crystal sparkle in shades like Sunday Funday and Naughty Nautical.

So, for this #ManiMonday, I used Essie Pure Pearlfection to create that signature look and now Resort Fling looks even more amazing!!
