Nonie Creme Colour Prevails review

There’s a new nail polish brand on the drugstore block, Nonie Creme Colour Prevails. butter LONDON fans will recognize Nonie Creme as the former Creative Director. It’s been a few years since her departure, and I know I wasn’t the only one wondering where she would take her creative genius.

I’ve kept tabs on Nonie through social media, and when she previewed Colour Prevails last September, during New York Fashion Week, I couldn’t wait to hear more. Colour Prevails is more than just nail polish; the line includes foundation, eye shadow, lipstick etc., in decorative packaging that features butterfly wings. I couldn’t resist the unique cap on the Nail Lacquer, so I ordered a few bottles to try.

Essie Resort 2015

I have never understood the point of going on vacation in the summer. When you grow up in Ohio, Summer is the best time of year to be outside. I see no reason to escape. However, come mid-January, all I want is a beach.

Last year, I was fortunate to wave goodbye to the snow and cold on a Caribbean cruise. This year, I have to live vicariously through tales of my parents’ Aruba adventure and the summery shades in the Essie Resort 2015 collection.

China Glaze Glass Fleck – Operation: #BringBackGlassFleck

I’m on a mission, you guys, and I need your help! It all started during a recent #NailGlossip chat (next one is March 1st!), when I mentioned how much I love China Glaze Glass Fleck polishes and lamented that they haven’t made any in a while. That’s when #BringBackGlassFleck was born. And it’s popped up in my social media posts a few times since.

Fast forward to last Sunday. We hosted a China Glaze-focused chat and me and my one-track mind brought up my crusade for more glass flecks. I suggested that China Glaze host a fan vote to bring back popular glass flecks from the past. Now I’m looking for your support to convince China Glaze to make it happen. And to make more glass-flecks, in general.

Need convincing? Keep reading!

Winterize Your Hands & Nails – Cold Weather Hand Care Tips

Winter Hand & Nail Care via @alllacqueredup

Winter Hand & Nail Care

If you live in a cold, dry climate, you winterize your home, car and more than likely your skin care routine but what about your hands? Given the below-freezing windchill temps that typically plague Cleveland, I’ve become acutely observant of the state of my hands and nails during the winter.

Unless you wear gloves 24/7, your hands get almost as much air exposure as your face. And given the other downsides of winter, no one wants to add dry, chapped skin or brittle, peeling nails to that list. It’s time to rescue your hands from the effects of the frozen tundra and get your winter hand care routine on point, yes on point (I can’t with “on fleek”).

I’ve teamed up with Sally Hansen to share my favorite cold weather hand care tips with you.

Essie Spring 2015 and Rebecca Minkoff announcement via @alllacqueredup

Essie Spring 2015

Exciting news, people! One of my favorite designers, Rebecca Minkoff, has been announced as the Global Color Designer for Essie. I am a huge fan of Rebecca Minkoff accessories, and have collected quite a few of her pieces over the years. I love her attention to detail, eye for color and ability to make classic shapes feel modern. I just know she’s going to bring exciting things to the world of Essie and that starts with the Essie Spring 2015 collection.
