A Peek At Chanel’s Spring 2010 Nail Color

chanel le vernis spring 2010 peter phillips nail colour A Peek At Chanels Spring 2010 Nail ColorI’ve been patiently waiting for this day of Paris Fashion Week. The day of the Chanel RTW Spring 2010 show. When I heard that Chanel Beauty Creative Director Peter Philips would be debuting his latest nail creation on the runway, I couldn’t wait to see it. Well the wait is over and I’m intrigued.

Is it a mushroomy taupe a la OPI You Don’t Know Jacques? Is it a purple khaki reminiscent of SOPI Metro Chic? Or is it something else entirely? Take a look at some extreme close ups after the jump before deciding.

Is that a glossy creme finish or a hint of pearly metallic sheen?

i absolutely LOVE it! it's like essie's mink muffs but better (because it's chanel!). amaze, can't wait for the release.

Looks like a lot of taupe-y mushrooms that are out now!

I would say its somewhere inbetween You don't know jacques and Parlez vous OPI. The first pic seems a little lighter than the second and third. I can't wait to see it!

  5. Love Beauty Blog says:

maybe more like sephora opi's metro chic?

    Hi Michelle:

It's a lighter shade than OPI buy Sephora, "Don't go there." the muted lavender purple shade. But that might not be it…OPI's Metro Chic as Love Beauty Blog mentioned is a good possibility.

Meh. I don't understand Chanel polish hype. The colors, the price, they all leave me underwhelmed. This one reminds me of a potato.

i agree…saw it at bloomingdales, almost brain washed myself into believing it is chic..perhaps for the runway, but looks like old barbie doll skin on a normal persons hand

  8. Stef says:

I would call the colors ugly! I'm rather disappointed in them. Spring colors should be fun and beautiful, not gloomy. Chanel did not impress me at all!

  9. Alison says:

There have been a lot of creme versions of this around but if this has that amazing Shimmer only Chanel does I am in!

Looks like OPI's Over the Taupe. It's pretty, but it's been done.

Do you think it is the Chanel holiday color that was just featured in the Oct. Elle called Trapeze?

  12. Julie says:

You Don't Know Jacques is my fave color of the past year, so I'm loving this. Looks a bit purple-y too, and hopefully a bit pearly! So when will it be available?!

  13. morgan says:

Looks like you don't know jacques with a little more purple and definitely not worth $20 a bottle.

  14. Zeynep says:

The color is called Particulière and it will be available Jan 2010.

  15. Rachel says:

Right now I'm wearing a color that looks exactly like this!! It's called "Taupe Drawer" by Pure Ice. It's a drug store brand that I only find at walmart but the line has some awesome colors! I know this is for Spring 2010 but I'm loving this color for fall.

What is the trend nail polish 2010?

I just bought it…I know it’s very pricey but I am loving the color. Unfortunately it’s not pearly or shimmery actually it’s just creme. But it’s still pretty!
