I’ve got some additional details on Chanel’s Jade Nail collection and I know you can’t get enough of it, right? My nails are dying to be lacquered in Jade. Be still my beating heart.

Debuting at the CHANEL Ready-to-Wear Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 fashion show, Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup, created the JADE NAIL Collection with two exclusive, limited edition nail enamels in rare colours: “Jade” and “Jade Rose”.

These mineral-inspired shades transform the nails into genuine gems and recall the pink jade jewelry and the pink knit and pistachio tweed of the Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 Ready-to-Wear Collection.

“For the nails, Karl wanted a green shade to evoke the jade notes of the collection. So I worked with our laboratories to offer him a monochromatic palette of 10 green shades. We chose the colour that most resembled the green tweed skirt suit from the collection,” explains Peter Philips.

Suggested retail price: $25.00 Available for limited time starting October 2009. Available exclusively at CHANEL boutiques, CHANEL Makeup Studios and on CHANEL.com.

Even though I'm wincing heavily at the price tag, I have a feeling Jade'll finally be the polish who will successfully seduce me into giving it up to Chanel. Wonder how similar it'll be to MAC's Peppermint Patti?

I'm so excited. I've been wearing OPI's Get in Lime to see how pale green looks on me. What? I only own like 3 greens.

like the jade better. Don't get me wrong, I would try jade rose too.

Love the Jade Rose! I was a little letdown because I wasn't so sure how great the Jade would look on my nails, but now I can rock the Jade Rose, which is just as pretty! I can only hope that the color is highly pigmented so that it would show on my nails! Also, if Jade resembles the tweed skirt in the coming line.. I can only imagine what that line might be like.

I'm loving both and will definatly be splurging, they usually arrive here in the UK a month after the US release so I can't wait to see swatches!

EEEP! I want this one SO badly!

My breath was literally taken away when I saw that green. I've been on the hunt for a soothing, minty green that wasn't too "retro" or old looking and at the same time not too bright.

I was lucky enough to find Peppermint Patti on stores, but seeing as they sell over 20 on evilbay.. then the pricetag of Chanel might not be TOO bad if it's truly unique!.

Ahh, yet another October/Autumn collection I'll be out for.

Jade is not exactly unique (i own a painstakingly-similar color from the 2009 S/S collection of Majorlica Majorca, a young side-lin from Shiseido. I would die for Jade rose…but that would depend on how "unique" it is, as I've seen too much pink-nude color all over the place. If this one holds up well and easy in application (i'm clumsy in application), then i'm going for Jade rose.
