Polished Pups

Fellow BBN member Elke pointed me in the direction of this article from American Salon Magazine. In it, they use a selection of fall shades from OPI, Essie and CND to color a dozen doggie figurines. I have to say that the Cavalier is my favorite but I’m biased. My parents have an adorable Cavvy named Roxy.

Talk about a fun use of lacquer. It’s like that woman that painted her car with polish and tried to sell it on eBay.

AHHHH!!! Reminds me of a mini version of the Chicago Cows art parade…We spent an entire weekend in the Windy City trying to find them all…the best was the ladybug climbing up the side of one of the buildings on the MM hehehehe

This is too cute for words! What a wonderful way to show off n/p colours. I love how they teamed the colours with the different dog breeds. Thanx for posting this!!!

Gah – reminds me of that journalist (makes my ears bleed with jealousy, this, given that I am also a journalist and could never in a million years afford what’s about to come) who ordered 25 gallons of Kyoto Pearl to paint a dining room wall with. And didn’t Barbara Streisand have her car painted in Bogota Blackberry?

Hey–I want to see that car that was painted with nail polish, ha, ha!

We have a poodle, but the Cavvy is my fave, too. That color looks great on a dog!

    Hugs!

Is every big city doing specially painted statues scattered around their downtowns? When I lived in Cincinnati it was pigs, here in Cleveland it’s guitars, Chicago has cows? I wonder what the other cities are doing to represent.

Wow Liz, 25 gallons of polish? Now that’s one picky lady if she couldn’t find a paint shade that came close. I think even if I had the money I couldn’t justify such a purchase.

VN, here’s a link to the article. The car is ugly but you would never have trouble finding in a parking lot.
