I’m seeing a lot of red nails on the runways so get ready for red to replace black next fall as the celebrity color du jour.
At Heatherette, even the guys were sporting crimson tips.

It was all about gold nails at Baby Phat. Metallic polishes are supposed to be big this summer and it looks like Baby Phat is carrying that over into fall with a muted gold shimmery polish. I have no clue what that color is but I MUST have it. It’s an amazing gold-green hue. I’d give you all color suggestions but I have nothing that looks like that. Stunning!

Ok, I’m all for crazy nail colors but even I think that bright yellow is unflattering. Very few people can pull it off. However, if you really want to go for it, check out OPI’s Need Sunglasses. Try Orly Blue Collar from the Manicure Minatures collection for the aqua color.
 With Fashion Week in full swing, I’ve been trying to keep up with photos from all the shows but it’s just too hard. The coverage is amazing but overwhelming. I did manage to spot some fun nails on the runways and I’ll be posting them when I get a chance.
First up, Diane Von Furstenberg. When I first saw pics from the show I thought the nails were red but this first shot changed all that. Robert Verdi’s backstage interview with makeup artist Matthew Nagaro sealed the deal when he commented that the models were wearing a berry lip color.
