essie Retro Revival 35th Anniversary Collection

Amazing news, you guys! So good, I am giddy every time I think about it being true.

Let’s back up a sec. A few weeks ago I caught wind of essie releasing a collection to celebrate the iconic brand’s 35th Anniversary, Retro Revival. At the time, five past shades were named for resurrection. Then, during our last #NailGlossip chat (next one is this Sunday), Kellie Gonzo shared the rumor that Starry Starry Night(!!!) was the sixth mystery shade. I mean, could it really be true? That the sought-after shade was making a comeback? Well, late last week essie confirmed its revival to much fanfare.

If you aren’t familiar, keep reading to see why essie Starry Starry Night’s return has nail fanatics, worldwide, in a frenzy!

China Glaze Holiday 2015 - Don't Get Elfed Up

China Glaze Holiday 2015 – Don’t Get Elfed Up

I can’t take it anymore, you guys. My nails have been naked for far too long, and while I’m in a better place with sight of bare nails, I NEED SOME COLOR. Especially since this is my last week of regular classes and I have a big speech to give tomorrow morning. I’m not the best public speaker, so I’m hoping that a festive manicure will give me confidence to get through it and ready for some weekend fun!

Choosing a color wasn’t hard. You know how I’ve been begging China Glaze to #BringBackGlassFleck, so when the Cheers! Holiday 2015 collection showed up, I immediately zeroed in on Don’t Get Elfed Up’s sparkly flecks. Could this be the glass-fleck I’ve been dreaming of?

Essie Fall 2015 - Leggy Legend

essie Fall 2015 – Leggy Legend

Happy Fri-yay everyone! I can’t tell you how happy I am to be writing this post on a new laptop. Mine old one deteriorated to the point that I couldn’t edit photos or watch a video without it freezing. Scary and frustrating. I’m ecstatic with my new Lenovo and to have a free moment from classes (so much Calc homework) to be sharing the essie Fall 2015 collection with you today. I shared a nail art look from the collection with you, but now it’s time for the full shebang. These six new shades come in an atypical essie formula. Check it out!

Chanel Vibrato and Fortissimo - Blue Rhythm

Chanel Vibrato and Fortissimo – Blue Rhythm

Even though I’m known for my love of all things green, I have a serious weakness for blue polish. It’s been eclipsing my affection for green lately, but given that I have more blue nail polishes than any other color, it takes a lot to get me truly excited.

The Chanel Blue Rhythm collection has had my interest piqued for months after seeing Vibrato and Fortissimo on a few international blogs. Well, the collection finally hit my doorstep, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you.

Zoya Fall 2015 – Flair

As I shared during last night’s #NailGlossip chat (next one is 8/30), Fall is my favorite time of year for nail color. I love the saturated jewel tones and sparkle that tend to accompany the season. So, when the Zoya.comZoya Fall 2015 collections landed on my doorstep, I had to play with Flair first.

Can I just say how much I love that Zoya releases one creme collection and one shimmer/sparkle collection for the major seasons? Some of my all-time favorite colors have come from Zoya fall palettes and this year is shaping up to follow that pattern. There are a couple colors here that I know I’ll wear over and over this season.
