Chanel Summer 2009 Preview – Orange Fizz & Golden Sand

From elegant Monte Carlo to the seaside of Deauville, Mademoiselle Chanel’s favorite resort destinations are re-imagined in the CHANEL Summer 2009 Makeup Collection. Cool corals, sun-soaked reds, sandy-pink beiges, lush peaches and shimmering coppers with a touch of rose define this Summer’s vibrant beauty.

Summer is finally on its way, thank goodness, and with that we have some more gorgeous, warm shades to covet thanks to Chanel. Part of the Cote D’Azur collection, Orange Fizz (coral) and Golden Sand (copper) look to be the kind of pedicure shades that will perfectly compliment your bronzed, faux-glow skin.

I’m already drooling over Orange Fizz and I can’t wait to see how Golden Sand will look in person. The collection is set to hit counters in April but they’re already available online at Chanel.com.

I hadn’t heard about these until today, the colours look great I hope we get them in the UK as Chanel do have a tendency to not release some colours here (Roberson collection, moscow collection and haute chocolat recently). I’ve seen pics of Cosmic Violine and Mica Rose and thought these were part of a summer collection, do you when these will be released? I hope they release the wintery green from your post below too, that would be great!

Alison – The colors you mentioned are part of the Celestial Lights collection with 8 new Glossimers launching in May. The Summer collection comes out first.

I saw the email today about the new colors, and I am dying to see Orange Fizz, too!

Oooh Orange Fizz! I’ve been looking for a colour just like it, or like Lippman’s PYT (but hopefully without the pricetag!). If anyone knows of a dupe, please let me know… or maybe I’ll just have to save my pennies for these lovelies. :)

Orange Frizz looks awesome. Might have to be my first Chanel nail polish purchase.

Just wondering if anyone has ordered anything off 8ty8beauty.com lately. I ordered some stuff about a week ago and haven’t received any e-mail or be charged for it yet. Just wondering if this is common with the site and how long before I should expect my items. Thanks!

I saw them both in person a few days ago(the Summer collection is out at many counters; the new Glossimers are what are coming out in April). Orange Fizz is pretty, but not special — IMO it looks exactly like many of the tangerine colors we’ve seen before from Zoya, China Glaze, etc. Golden Sand is pretty but way too warm for us fair cool-tone gals :(.

Cindy: Lately 8ty8 have been really busy ever since some chick name fafinette on YouTube showed everyone the e-tailer. :( Boohoo… Emerald Sparkle is now sold out :( I guess next time or from now on, go to TransDesign or Head2Toe.

Oops, not Cindy, Cathy. My mistake ^^

    Thanks for clearing that up!

I read this blog, immediately logged on to my Chanel.com account, and ordered one of the new glosses for Summer 09′ as well. They’re so pretty. My local Nordstrom just got the line in as well, and I have my personal shopper holding both nail colors, the new blush, and the new eye shadow quad for me to look at/buy tomorrow. Thanks so much for this post, what a life saver!!!

I was hoping to see these before I treked to Nordstrom. Has anyone else noticed that Chanel and Dior are coming out with similar colors? Chanel= Orange Fizz & Mica Rose, Dior= Sweet Orange & Bubble Gum.Oh and the other new Chanel one, Cosmic Violine. I can't wait for that one too!!
