Live From The Red Carpet – It’s Essie

Ok so I’m sad about the fate of the Golden Globes this weekend. A news conference style awards show? That’s more pathetic than the Seacrest-In-The-Round Emmys. I’m all for the actors supporting their Writers Guild brothers & sisters by not crossing the picket line but, I still want my red carpet coverage and ten thousand re-runs of E!’s Fashion Wrap.

So what do we have to comfort ourselves? A little bit of the red carpet, in a bottle. Essie and E! Entertainment Television have teamed up to create a limited edition polish inspired by “E! Live From The Red Carpet,” appropriately named Live From The Red Carpet.

A glossy cherry red creme, Live From The Red Carpet is so well pigmented, you hardly need a second coat. And I know all you Big 3 Free lovers are going to hate me saying this but there is something to be said for keeping the chemicals. This formula is so easy to control and apply that I don’t care what’s in it.

Live From The Red Carpet is available now through the end of February at salons and beauty outlets such as ULTA ($8).

Hi! I got this color last week and it is stunning! I’m sad though cause I can’t wear it yet. You see, silly me had the fabulous idea (NOT) of putting on acrylic’s for about a month till I realized “why did I do this?” and I took them off. Now my nails are horrible and I’m growing them again. By the way do you know of any good nail treatments that might make my nails look halfway decent for the meantime? I can’t stand to look at them!!!!

I have this too and I love it.

Your pics look FANTASTIC, btw. Did you get an SLR?

Aww Stubby, I know the growing pains post-acrylics are rough but hang in there. The best advice I can offer is to use a ridge filling base coat, like the one from Seche but, nothing will really cover up that big ridge. I’m not a doctor so this is just my opinion but, I take biotin supplements and feel that they help my nails grow faster and stronger. You should also check out the NailTek/NailTiques lines.

Karen – Hey doll!! I only wish I had an SLR but thanks for thinking I did. I must have done something right with my little point and shoot.

Hi, I am wondering if it’s true that nail polish without the big 3 would be less long-lasting and have less quality than the ones with the big 3. What do you think?

Yum, that red looks so good I could just eat it up! It reminds me of candy.

It’s a nice red, but just seems unoriginal. I’m pretty sure we’ve seen a red creme before..
