Celebrity Nail Watch – Fergie

At a time when majority of young Hollywood is sporting either black or nude nails, Fergie (aka Stacy Ferguson) stands alone. Whether it’s bright orange, racing stripes or domino nail art, Fergie takes a risk with her nails and for that I give her kudos.
You don’t have to like it but you have to respect the creativity. She doesn’t play it safe and obviously has fun with her look. I’d love to know who does her nails and if they’re natural, though I’d guess not.
It’s funny, I still think of her as the bubbly little girl on Kids Incorporated, one of my favorite shows growing up.
So what do you think? Can outrageous nails work in the real world or is it just reserved for celebrities and creative types?

I love crazy nail colors! They’re so much more interesting than the basic shimmery pink (not to put it down, I’m wearing OPI’s Nomad’s Dream right now!). Though I will always draw the line at nails that are too long, keep ‘em short and sweet!
I agree with vyque, crazy nail colours are the best. In fact, I regularly wear bright orange, green, and blues on my nails. They’re so much more fun than ordinary pink and red!

Holy crap–I had no idea that Stacey from Kids Incorporated and Fergie were one in the same! I used to watch that show all the time, and Martina (?) had that hit song “Toy Soldiers.” Now that you pointed it out, I can see it.
Long nails can definitly work in the real world as long as there a functional length. Love to see them polished.
love that she takes risks and doesn’t run with the pack, but her nails (like the rest of her look!) are a bit ghetto-trashy for me…
just a matter of taste!
i love fergie’s crazy colors and patterns, but i think the length of her nails is a bit ludicrous.
