 I have a love/hate relationship with brights and neons. I LOVE wearing them in the summer but I HATE photographing them. They are just so hard to capture. Neons just never translate on screen so it’s really hard for me to show you what you’re getting.
Regardless, I took the new China Glaze Poolside collection for a spin. Poolside consists of six bold, in-your-face neons that are bound to attract attention. Every year since we’ve met, The Boyfriend and I have taken a vacation in the Spring. We’re about to hit 11 years in April, that’s a lot of travel. It’s usually to a tropical destination though we’ve had a few cold weather vacays as well.  If there’s one thing I’m certain of, it’s that 2010 is shaping up to be one glitter party of a year.  OPI is really getting into the whole Hollywood collaboration game. 90210, then Alice In Wonderland and now Shrek? Granted it’s not the first time they’ve gone down this path (Legally Blonde 2) and they’ve certainly embraced Broadway (All Shook Up, Holiday On Broadway) but so many film & television themed collections in such a short span. Makes me wonder if they’re running out of ideas or really wanting to up their marketing game. Not that OPI needs it. I mean, even people that NEVER polish their nails know OPI.
Regardless, a collection based on a big, GREEN ogre is so up my alley. It’s guaranteed to have some fun and funky shades. None of those boring reds like the 90210 polishes and Off With Her Red!. As first reported by Chic Profile the collection includes: |
