Bronze & Gold Lace Nail Art

Happy New Year! It’s crazy to think that it’s been eight years since I started All Lacquered Up. Eight years! It was a time when 3-Free was barely a thing. When I discovered a basically unknown brand at a Seattle airport kiosk called butter LONDON.

When I was the only nail blogger. When all of my nail polish fit in one cabinet as compared to needing its own room. So many amazing things have happened since then, so many changes. But one thing remains the same, my love of nail polish and desire to share it with you.

The traditional 8th anniversary gift is bronze and the modern gift is lace so I decided to combine the two in a bronze & gold lace nail art look. Take a trip down memory lane with me and enjoy my tribute manicure.

DIY Nail Decals Tutorial

Sponsored Post

It’s a beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland. Living in Ohio, I have a love/hate relationship with snow. For the most part, I appreciate the beauty of it and, given my hair’s hatred of humidity, I welcome the cool, crisp air. Granted, I’m fortunate to work from home so I’m not scraping ice off my car or shoveling my driveway on the daily.

Giving a nod to our current state of wintry bliss, I DIY’d a snowflake nail decal for a Winter Wonderland Manicure. When it comes to nail art, straight lines are easy-ish but, on a curved nail, a pattern like a snowflake can be a challenge to get even.

That’s why I like creating my own decals off the nail. I can perfect the pattern by having both hands free to steady the background and brush. Plus, I have a trick that takes the guesswork out of freehand nail art. Keep reading to see how I created this fun and simple look.

Smoky Plum Eye Tutorial

It’s not secret that when it comes to eye makeup, I LIVE for a palette. And a peek inside my in-need-of-a-good-purge makeup collection will reveal that MAC palettes make up the majority of my stash. Especially the holiday ones. I probably have eight or more of them.

So when the Makeup Wars gang decided to create a holiday makeup look, I knew exactly what to reach for. The MAC Keepsakes Plum Eyes palette is so my style, with the majority of the colors leaning towards cool. It created a smoky eye that is perfect for holiday parties and I couldn’t resist coming up with a nail look to go with it. Check it!

Snowflake Sideways French Manicure Tutorial

Happy Mani Monday peeps! I hope you all had a fun weekend. Now that we’re into November the holiday collections are starting to roll out. The holidays, already, ugh! I’m so not ready for that. But I do love holiday nail polish colors and while I was playing with the new China Glaze Twinkle collection, I came up with this twist on a Sideways French Manicure. Enjoy!
