When I first saw the Colour & Effects line I naturally gravitated towards the primary and secondary hues. You know, “me” colors. It wasn’t until I had some time to play with the line at home that I’ve begun discover all this line has to offer. Muddy Rose is one of those discoveries.
I’ve been on a mauve kick for fall ever since I saw the Reem Acra dress that inspired Get Mauve-ing from the Barielle All Lacquered Up collection. Now I’m on a full fledged dusty pink/rose/purple spree and Muddy Rose fits the bill. See it on its own and paired with Raspberry Sparkle after the jump! |

I have to give in and admit that it is officially Fall. That the cold and gloom are here to stay in the old Cleveburg. I wouldn’t mind so much if we actually had a lovely long fall but I fear the white stuff (shh, don’t say its name) is looming in the distance.
For now, I will embrace the thought of warm cider, pumpkin everything and cozy sweater weather. The leaves on my trees are starting to turn and that inspired me to test drive a warm autumnal shade for CND Monday, Raisin in the Sun. I glitzed it out with a layer of Gold Shimmer which resulted in a surprising result. Take a peek after the jump! |

Last week I got a Head2Toe order in with some additional Effects from the CND line and I couldn’t wait to play with them. Until now I’ve only shown you Sparkles and a Pearl but now I have some Shimmers to experiment with. Being that blues and greens are two of my fave color families, I thought it would be fun to combine them and see what happens. Check out how dramatically Emerald Shimmer changes Anchor Blue after the jump!

Nude hued nails were all over the Fashion Week runways for spring. “Mannequin Hands” was in full effect. When I say Mannequin Hands I refer that elongated, neutral, extension-of-the-fingers look you get by painting a flesh toned or slightly darker polish on your nails.
I decided to try the look out with one of the CND Colours that I kept seeing backstage, Desert Suede, and to transform it I added a layer of Gold Pearl Effect over top. Take a peek after the jump! |
