One of Color Club’s three, yes I said three, new collections is Rebel Debutante. The collection introduces nine new creme polishes that for the most part are very chic and subdued but it’s the stand out blue and green that caught my eye.
What an unexpected twist to add such bright pops of color to the palette. I suppose they are the rebels in the group. Though what I like about this collection as a whole is that even though the majority of the shades are neutrals, they are what I’d call “new neutrals.” They have an updated feel to them. See what I mean after the jump! |

A couple months ago I flipped over the promo pics of the new MAC Give Me Liberty of London nail polish Blue India and it more than lived up to the hype. Known for their iconic collaborations with labels like Comme de Garcons, Liberty of London has teamed up with MAC to create a makeup collection that brings the brand’s prints to life.
The packaging which is based on William Morris’s Strawberry Theif print from 1883 is a makeup collector’s dream come true. I’m one of those people who hoards all of MAC’s specialty packaging. I have a drawer filled with boxes from the Barbie, Heatherette, Hello Kitty, Fafi, Viva Glam etc. I’ll even buy colors that won’t work for me because I’m a sucker for great packaging. If you fit that mold, you’ll die over Give Me Liberty of London.

One of the most anticipated collections of the season, OPI Hong Kong takes us to the far east and I don’t want to come back. Following what I consider a pretty boring year for OPI (I just didn’t LOVE Spain & South Beach) they’re already off to a great start with Alice in Wonderland and Hong Kong. I hope the momentum keeps going throughout the year.
Of course I’ve been geeked over the idea of a new OPI green so Jade Is The New Black has been on my mind for months and it did NOT disappoint. I dare say it may take down Rainforest as my all-time fave OPI. That’s a huge statement people!
I’ve got the first half of the collection for you today so check out Jade Is The New Black, Suzi Says Feng Shui, Meet Me On The Star Ferry, Bling Dynasty and Pearl of Wisdom after the jump! |

The ALU Archives focuses on older, beloved shades from the All Lacquered Up stash.
Talking about Illamasqua’s new colors yesterday reminded me that I had never showed you one of my fave shades from their core collection, Phallic. First of all, you gotta love the name. Like my blogging pal Mel with her Penis Tuesday series, I love a fun penis reference. I even won a knit, purple, penis-shaped lip balm holder (link NSFW!) from her site. The fact that Phallic is a stunning blue shimmer makes it all the better. Check out the gorgeousness after the jump! |

For Spring ’10 Nail Colors, Rescue Beauty Hangs Ten With Proenza Schouler’s cool surfer girls.
“Let’s go surfing now, Everybody’s learning how, Come on and safari with me!” – The Beach Boys.
Being a Midwest girl that never saw the California coast until a few years ago, the Cali surf culture brings up flashes of Gidget, Frankie & Annette flicks, The Beach Boys and Dick Dale’s “Misirlou” which any Pulp Fiction fan would recognize.
I’m sure that’s not at ALL what Proenza Schouler had in mind when they created their Spring ‘10 collection. They envisioned a much hipper surf girl. One that can ride the big waves with the best of them, then slip on a chic, colorful dress and party all night. It’s the modern surfer girl that inspired Ji Baek’s Spring collection for Rescue Beauty Lounge. |
