Zoya Spring 2015 – Delight

Are you ready for a little afternoon delight? I’m talking Zoya Delight, you pervs! The Zoya Spring 2015 collection is a mix of candy-ish cremes and shimmers with a metallic turquoise flash. In the bottles, the shades are lickable, like a dish of Jordan Almonds. But how do they look on nails? Lets find out!

Formula & Application

Zoya nail polish is 5-Free (Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, Formaldehyde Resin & Camphor). Their signature Italian glass bottles have a tapered, shiny black plastic cap that rests comfortably between the thumb and index finger while polishing. The brush is short, round and medium in girth with flexible bristles that allow for ease of control.

This collection is divided down the middle with three shimmer shades and three cremes. The cremes are all a little thick and apply a bit streaky, so I needed three coats to get them opaque. The upside is they self level. The shimmers all have a metallic flash, so the consistency is thinner to suspend the flecks. They also needed three coats.

Zoya Daisy is a sunny yellow with turquoise flecks. The flecks look more green over the yellow and, to see them, you have to angle your nails.

Zoya Daisy

Zoya Eden is a hot pink creme. It’s cool base color reminds me of Zoya Rooney, only Eden is darker and a bit warmer.

Zoya Leslie has a lavender base filled with turquoise flecks. The flash isn’t as apparent in this one but it’s definitely there and more visible in person. It definitely leans pink but not too much and the blue shimmer balances that out. To me, it’s like a warmer version of Zoya Julie.

Zoya Lillian is a blue power pastel. It has an aqua feel with a hint of green in its base. It is very similar to Chanel Riva, without the shimmer.

Zoya Rayne is a sky blue with turquoise flecks. The flash is more visible in this shade than the other two. It adds a high intensity sparkle to the overall look. For reference, the base is similar to Chanel Coco Blue, maybe a tad more green.

Zoya Tiana is a pistachio green creme. It was the most challenging formula to work with of the three cremes. If you have Zoya Neely, this is a brighter, less greyed/muted version.

Bottom Line: The collection, as a whole, is solid but Leslie and Rayne are the stars of this show. I normally shy away from warm purples but this one is very flattering. No lobster hands! Also, the flash is pretty spectacular in person, even if doesn’t translate as well on camera. The rest of the collection is okay but doesn’t really have that wow factor.

The Zoya Delight collection is coming soon to salons and spas nationwide, including ULTA stores and online at Zoya.com. Zoya nail polish retails for $9/ea.

What do you guys think of Delight? Are you like the turquoise flash? Which colors do you plan to pick up?

Really nice colors for Spring these are!

  2. Anna M Antipenko says:

I am so glad for the review! You’ve helped me narrow it down to the shimmers, all 3 because I have that dang 50% off mystery box coupon to use by 3/1. Thank you!!

  3. I was lukewarm about these after looking at the colors in the bottle, but on the nails these are surprising lovely! Daisy and Leslie are gorgeous shimmers, Tiana is a lovely like green creme! Great swatches!!

  4. Tessa Lunden says:

I gotta get my hands on Leslie and Rayne!

  5. Carolyn says:

I was pretty sure I liked Leslie when I saw the press release – now I am sure that I have to add that one to my collection. Rayne is gorgeous, too, but I already have Rebel and I’m thinking they are similar enough that I don’t need both (although I like Rayne better!) I’m not much for yellow polishes, but Daisy is very pretty, maybe as an accent color. I really like this turquoise flash effect a lot. Do you know if these are launching prior to 2/5? I have that bonus code in my account from the NYNH promo and might use it to pick one or two of these up. Thanks for your awesome swatches!

  6. Liz says:

Perhaps you’ve explained this in a previous post… What are lobster hands?

  7. Viktoria says:

Lilliand and Tiana are my favourites. Especially Tiana. What a pity the formula is challenging!

  8. Craftynail says:

wow I really want Leslie and Rayne! I love how girly and sparkly they are

  9. Therese says:

I love Leslie and Eden. Such great Spring colors.

  10. kel says:

these look nice but i already have these colors. not really anything new for me here.

  11. Great swatches! These look nice. I think I like Daisy, Leslie and Rayne the most, the others look very similar to other colors in my stash.

  12. megan says:

I think Lillian and Tiana are the ones for me. Nevermind that I probably have 2-3 dupes for Lillian already. That kind of color makes me lose all sense of rationality for saving money. Rayne is pretty but on 3 coats I can still see bald spots. Yikes.

  13. Sarah says:

Gorgeous! I’m planning on picking up all six! I have a 50% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket… :)

  14. I will be picking up all of these. Spring (and Summer!) collections are my favorite and this collection just looks so beautiful!

  15. Robin says:

I just love all of these and I really plan to get all but the pink since I have Rooney

  16. Tanyatopia says:

I love Leslie, Daisy and Tiana. Bummer the formula was a bit of a let down. That yellow is calling my name though!

  17. Jenni says:

Oh. My. Gosh. I love all of these so much. Have so much polish already but have to get them all.

  18. These colors are so pretty. I love the shimmery ones but I also love the creme polishes lol. UGH…it sucks to be a polish hoarder. LOL. Thanks for your lovely swatches!

  19. Elizabeth says:

YAY! I’ve been waiting to see this collection for weeks! Daisy is my favorite, but Tiana is cute too(I keep thinking of Princess Tiana from the princess and the frog disney movie).

  20. Natalie Brown says:

Hi! Spring and Summer collections are my favorites. These are so pretty. I’ll have to get a few of them. The only shade I wouldn’t really wear is the yellow. Thanks for the gorgeous swatches & review. :)

  21. Valerie C. says:

I love Leslie, Rayne and Eden. They look beautiful on!

  22. Icy says:

I’m gonna need Leslie now. I seriously am in love with the Zoya colors that are metallic or glittery; they seriously make amazing colors with those finishes!

  23. d3athbyglitter says:

Yay! Thank you so much for having swatches of these up so quickly! My favorites are Rayne and Leslie! <3

  24. Colleen says:

I always look forward to your swatches as our skin tone is similar. :o) I love this collection and like you, I’m most intrigued by Leslie and Rayne. It’s nice to see a collection with something a little different.

  25. SummerStorms says:

Well now, I don’t mind Daisy (tan summer Aussie skin here) The rest… hmm… It must be so hard for nail companies to do stuff that hasn’t been done!

  26. Kya says:

All I see when I see this collection is previous spring collections :(
    For ex. eden=rooney, Leslie=Hudson, Daisy=Piaf, Rayne=Rebel, Lillian=Blu, Tiana=Neely
Did Zoya just take old polishes and change the color by like a gradient and throw them into this collection?

  27. Laura says:

Thanks for the beautiful swatches! I have a large polish collection and hate to buy a polish without seeing a swatch. I understand the chore it must be to swatch collections like this, but I really appreciate when you do it. Especially for Zoya! I think I’ll purchase Rayne, Leslie, and Daisy. I really appreciate your comments about how your skin tone work with colors like Leslie, that’s very helpful as well!

  28. Laura M says:

I wonder how Tiana compares to OPIs That’s Hula-rious. I have a feeling that Tiana is lighter but can’t recall from memory. Lovely swatches! Thanks :)
