PC or MAC? Android or iPhone? In the world of pop, the big debate has always been Coke or Pepsi? Remember the taste wars of the 80s? For me, it’s always been Coke. And yes, this Ohio girl says “pop.”

I remember going to Atlanta for a work trip and geeking out over Coca-Cola paraphernalia. You should see the amount of Coke glassware, barware and signage in my house. It’s a “bit” much. So, you can imagine how excited I was to hear that OPI partnered with Coca-Cola on a nine piece nail polish collection, Coca-Cola by OPI, inspired by the brand’s lineup soft drinks.

OPI announces the launch of nine new limited edition nail lacquers inspired by some of the most recognized brands of The Coca-Cola Company. Coca-Cola by OPI offers a range of colors and hues representing everything from classic red for Coca-Cola to metallic silver for Diet Coke, dark red and black for Coke Zero, black cherry for Cherry Coke, cream and warm pink for Vanilla Coke, shimmering citrus green for Sprite and glitter-packed orange and deep purple for Fanta Orange and Fanta Grape.

“I have always believed that wearing nail lacquer can change your look – and your outlook,” remarks Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder & Executive VP. “Both OPI and Coca-Cola truly deliver happiness in a bottle to consumers looking for an iconic product of the highest quality. The nine shades in this collection represent not only bestselling Coca-Cola Company products, but also the styles of the women who enjoy them – from classic and glamorous to hip and trendy!”

Earlier today, OPI presented the collection to NYC editors and shared this photo on Instagram of Suzi Weiss-Fischmann getting her nails did. If you search the #OPICokeStyle tag, you’ll see some more shots from the event.

I don’t know about you guys but Today I Accomplished Zero, Green on the Runway and A Grape Affair have me intrigued. Especially after seeing a mani pic on Instagram of TIAZ.

The Coca-Cola by OPI nail polish collection launches June 2014 at salons nationwide, including Beauty Brands, BeautyBrands.com, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ULTA.com. OPI nail polish retails for $9/ea and the 10 Pack of Style mini pack will retail for $24.95.

Which OPI Coca-Cola shades are you most anticipating? Where do you fall in the Coke/Pepsi debate? I won’t judge you for liking Pepsi, the boyfriend does too. Ah, the never-ending battle.

I absolutely have to have the Coke Zero one!

  2. Emily says:

Ooh, me gustan! :) I’ve been a little confused by some of the promo images that I’ve seen of this collection though–when doing a google image search for example, I’ve noticed that Orange You Fantastic is an orange creme. I wonder what happened? (The glitter still looks pretty awesome though.)

  3. Natalie says:

As a proclaimed lover of Diet Coke, I’m going to have to get “My Signature is DC” despite owning several silvery polishes already, because, hello? Diet Coke!

  4. I think I’m most looking forward to Today I Accomplished Zero, but I definitely plan on buying the entire mini set…and that’s unusual for me as I usually don’t do that! Great post-thanks for sharing!

  5. I have to say that the only two that even remotely interest me are Orange You Fantastic and Today I Accomplished Zero. The rest look like dupes of almost any classic red, silver, lime green, etc. and I’m not even sold on TIAZ from the picture – the in-store swatch will have to sway me!

    • Considering how many collections OPI puts out in a year, it’s inevitable that they recycle colors. Especially for something like this. I’ll have to wait to see them in person to know for sure.

  6. Mariska says:

I have seen this collection a few months ago on the net can’t wait for the swatches :)

  7. Florasol says:

Green on the Runway will be mine! As for Coke vs. Pepsi, I hate all sparkly-sweet beverages in general so it’s not a match :)

    • I don’t drink that much pop myself as I can’t handle caffeine and don’t need the excess sugar. But I treat myself to a Cherry Coke when I go to a movie and I grew up drinking Sprite and Caffeine-Free Coke.

  8. amy says:

You had me at Coca-cola red. Also loving the D.C. and Today I accomplished Zero. I can’t wait when you do the “try on” to read what you think.

  9. Rebecca says:

My pop of choice is Pepsi, but I’ll drink a Coke without complaint. It may be my monitor, but Green on the Runway looks to me like a lime going bad in my refrigerator. I think it should be lighter to represent Sprite, maybe match the color in the logo. My Signature is “DC” is my kind of silver though. Can’t wait to get my hands on that one.

  10. Lorna says:

There’s a couple there that are a must for me :D I accomplished zero, my signature is DC and green on the runway!

  11. Claudia says:

These are great! I love the Coke Zero one, but (of course) also the two creamy light ones!

  12. Medusa says:

OPI just keeps coming out with collection after collection! How do they do it?! For me, I like these the best: OPI A Grape Affair, OPI Get Cherried Away & OPI Coca-Cola Red. I don’t drink soda but if I had to pick between Coca Cola & Pepsi, I like Pepsi better. P.S. Is the 10 Pack of Style mini pack essentially all the shades in the collection, just in small bottles? If so, I’d ultimately purchase that.

    • Yes, the mini pack is all the shades plus a base and top coat. And I have no idea how they do it. It must be so much work coming up with so many colors each year, not to mention all the names. I remember meeting the CEO and he told me they come up with 7-9 name ideas for each polish in a collection. That’s crazy!

  13. I can’t wait for the Fizzy or the Vain!

  14. lita says:

When it’s come to the drink , I love pepsi way more than coca cola.. But seriously nothing can beat the fashion sense coca cola bring..
I adore this Coca Cola collection..Old School and Chic!
I just wish they will give us Hot PinkRed Fanta, and Brown Caramel Cola itself ..
