Essie Summer 2014 Neons Nail Art

I received the new Essie Neons the other day and couldn’t wait to play with them. So, as you may have seen on my Instagram over the weekend, I did a quick freehand, multi-colored French manicure with five of the six new shades and I’m still wearing it for #ManiMonday.

Of course, if you want a more consistent look you can use French tip nail guides or even Band-Aids but when it’s the freakin’ weekend, I ain’t got time for that! If you want to see how I freehand a French, check out my Roll Your Way To A French Tip video tutorial.

The base colors (l-r): Essie Sittin’ Pretty, Essie Chills  & Thrills, Essie I’m Addicted, Essie Vices Versa, Essie Too Taboo

A full review is coming soon but, in the meantime, you can purchase the Essie Neons 2014 at Essie.com and Beauty.com. Essie nail polish retails for $8.50/ea for a .5oz bottle.

What are you wearing for this #ManiMonday? Have you seen the Essie Neons yet?

    What topcoat did you use?

    These are fun and colorful!

This is a great way to show all these colors in one manicure. I really liked this showing better than stand alone swatches! Thanks! I’m really curious to see how Chills & Thrills compares to Butler Please. They look so similar, I almost with Chills and Thrills was more like the color in Essie’s promo photo of it. On the nail it looks so much more cobalt than lavender leaning.

Wow! I hadn’t seen the Essie neons before, but now I feel that I need them all.

  5. All of the colors are amazing and cool in the eyes. The way you matched the base color and the French tips are superb. I also watched the video tutorial, and I found it very useful on how to make this nail art design.

Ahhh! It’s like have Easter Eggs on your nails. If that makes sense? But I love the color combos. Way to go Essie.

I can’t freehand the french mani even if my life depended on it lol. Love the fun random play of colors!

Did you require any white base? Thanks! :)
