China Glaze Introduces Six New Crackle Glaze Polishes in Sparkling Metallics for Summer 2011

There are even more crackles on the horizon. Crackle nail polish fans can rejoice over the China Glaze Crackle Metals collection. I’ve recently been playing with some metallic crackles from Sally Hansen and OPI and as much as I haven’t given in to the trend, I must admit the metallic versions are pretty cool looking. A whole collection of metallics definitely has me intrigued. My only question is, where is the GREEN crackle love?

Keep reading for an up close look at the Crackle Metals bottles and shade descriptions.

I love the lilac! Also, the gold would make a good addition to my collection. Heck, they’d all make a good addition to my collection!

  2. Mary says:

So excited for all of these, but I agree with you – where is the love for green crackles from China Glaze?

    • All Lacquered Up says:

Or any brand? Other than the couple of green crackles I have from random etailers I haven’t seen one yet from a major US brand

      • Alice says:

China Glaze’s first set came with a lime green crackle. That’s the only one I have yet to use, oops. :(

  3. Laura says:

The colors are really pretty, but I’m not a big fan of crackle polishes. I have one crackle polish (black) which I used twice and I’ve only seen one other girl using a crackle polish so far.

  4. Lizzy says:

    MUST HAVE LATTICED LILAC.

    Oh. My. GOD.

  5. Tiger says:

Don’t they look more like foils…? Anyhow, I am really looking forward to seeing swatches, they look beautiful in the bottle and I can imagine the effect of metallic/foil crackles is awesome.

  6. polarbelle says:

I wonder if they’re saving green crackle for Christmas?

  7. Cat says:

I am kind of looking forward to the gold one. I have some ideas for that that I want to play around with.

Totally agree that it’s a shame there aren’t more (or any?!) greens out there.

  8. Melissa says:

I am so over crackles already. Ugh, they just make your nails look like a hot mess.

  9. Sofie Amalie says:

They look awesome, but i’m a little afraid of them not cracking enough kind of like fault line from the first crackle collection because they have glitter in them, but have to wait for swatches before I can tell :)

  10. Ulmiel says:

Looking good, but yes, I miss green crackle too. I only know Burst that actually has it, and it looks awesome. They should totally do green, I wonder why don’t they, it’s not like green isn’t getting lots of love from nail polish fans …

  11. meme says:

Not a fan of the crackles/shatters. It’s been done and done. Like above commenter said, I don’t see anyone with them on. To me, seems a collector thing, a one or 2 time thing for those who try them. I think it’s messy and one of the worst forms of nail art out there. Colors here from CG are very pretty, but again they are crackles. Maybe because these are metallic they won’t look like rubber tire tracks laid down over a nice mani like so many others do.

  12. SalvagedExpression says:

It’s sad how many of these I’m hoping to take home. I have a silver but I’m going to need copper, probably blue and if I don’t get gold I’ll be kicked out of Pittsburgh.

  13. Melissa says:

Oxidized Aqua and Latticed Lilac are definitely calling my name. Those are the only ones that really stick out to me, but I’ll have to see swatches first.

  14. Tessa says:

As much as I’m on the edge about these….. I want all of them!!! (well, minus the silver, as I already have OPI’s silver shatter).

  15. Melanie says:

I am looking forward to seeing the metallic shatter polishes.

I ordered LaRosa polishes from ebay; the set I got does have a kelley green shatter polish. I am not sure about the formula (???) but the polishes do work well.

  16. Molly says:

The gold and lilac colors look hot!

  17. Gaby says:

Have not yet gotten into the crackle polishes. I saw it on a girl, as her mani looked ok, her toes looked as if she had a fungus. Maybe it was just the color combo used on her.

  18. NailPolishFan says:

I love the crackle nail polishes. And these look really good.

  19. Quinn says:

Now I wish I passed on the Sally Hansen crackles. I could have waited & grabbed the warm honey one. The SH formula is kinda so-so. Def not OPI or China Glaze quality. Damn impulse shopping.

    • michelle says:

I so agree! I was on a mission for the SH ones and got every single one. Now I have them I don’t even want them LOL!!! Definitely impulse shopping UGH!!!!

  20. Kimberly says:

Oo can’t wait. I was really into the black crackle in the 90s but I’m old enough now that I can’t really pull that off. I need something a little more subtle :)

  21. Sam Eaton says:

Thanks again for the great blog!!!

    • All Lacquered Up says:

I JUST ordered the LaRosa crackles because I saw they have a turquoise. Thanks for sharing your post about them.

  22. Vik says:

Somehow I feel that there are enough crackles out there, I wish they would do something else instead.

  23. Wanda says:

Honestly, I think some crackles look better, the metallics, rather than regular colors, but overall, I’m not sold. I tried OPI’s black shatter when it first came out and I like the look of the silver more, but no reason to buy it again. I don’t like the “shattered, crackled” look on my nails at all.

  24. Ana says:

    I like the Cracked Medallion

  25. Jamie Rose says:

More crackle polishes! I just got pretty much every China Glaze crackle they had out before this collection and now there are more. I really want the bronze one – it seems so very summery. I have the pink China Glaze one on right now. It’s a nice change from the usual dark crackle colors.

  26. sherry says:

Where & when can I buy the Crackled metal polishes? I LOVE them all!

  27. Laurie says:

The only time I ever really use crackle polishes is to refresh a tired mani or to cover any dents that I’m unfortunate enough to find after waking up in the morning. For that, I think crackles are wonderful!

Do I need them in every colour? No, not really. I have OPI’s black and silver shatters and I know those will last me forever because I wear them maybe once a month at most.

  28. Brenna says:

Love the lilac and light pink. I will get those and the gold probably. I love black shatter and have always wanted to try crackle.

  29. Jammies says:

I love crackle/shatter polishes, and I’m drooling over the copper CG.

  30. Iris says:

I am SO thrilled about these crackles! I get a lot more use out of my OPI silver crackle than the Black and I was hoping for a really nice gold that is formulated differently than the OPI metallic. the pink one is just too pretty, and think of what goes under it! warm browns, lavenders, greys… oooo.

  31. kittentoes says:

I want a metallic leaf green and dark green crack. Glad to see a nice warm gold though.

  32. gimmealolly says:

these colours are gorgeous. wish they were regular polishes and not crackle tho. not really into the crackle craze now.

  33. Susan says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! I got the silver shatter from OPI, and although I did love black shatter, I have to admit that the silver is better – the consistently is nicer, it goes on better, and it looks more polished when it dries. It turns any bright color into a shimmery pastel. I suspect that these metallics will be similar. I can’t wait for these – I’ll need the pink and lilac, at least!

  34. KatieM says:

I like the crackle polishes (mostly for toes) and these are beautiful (I love metallics), but a July/August release? I’m thinking that by then I’ll be bored with the idea. I’ve already passed on the OPI shatters (except for black & silver) and the re-release of the CG crackles. It’s funny, when I thought they would be available now I planned on going right over to Sally’s but a possible 2 month wait…meh.

  35. Stela says:

A video is up on youtube for these crazy metals! They look gorgeous(i love the gold!)

  36. Shoshana says:

So when and where are the China Glaze Crackle Metals Collection going to be released??? I must have all of them :~) But….no clue so far as to where they will be sold????

  37. Amber says:

I got the Lilac one. I want to play with it over something like my You Don’t Know Jacques Matte.

  38. Dakota Allen says:

The crackle polishes are fantastic. My daughter uses them and her nails looked awesome the first time she tried it!

  39. Cheryl says:

I got the silver crackle only because you could use it on any color and it would look good! But I’ve always wanted Latticed Lilac, sadly i dont have any base colors that would look good with it. :(
