ALU’s 365 of Untrieds – Nails Inc The Mall

nails inc the mall nail polish bottle 365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.

Exciting news US Fanatics, Nails Inc is coming to Sephora!!! The hit UK nail polish brand will roll out to Sephora stores this September and I’ve been told that the brand is launching some amazing things “never been done before.” I spied some “Special Effects” glitters on Eva Chen’s Tumblr but we can expect something “even better” than that so get your wallets ready.

I’ve been a big fan of Nails Inc ever since I first got my hands on the polishes and their incredible Kensington Caviar Top Coat a couple years ago at Cosmoprof and I remember hoping that a major beauty retailer like Sephora or ULTA would pick them up. To celebrate their upcoming major US launch I’m sharing a fabulous Nails Inc color, The Mall.

Formula & Application: Nails Inc nail polishes are 4-Free (includes formaldehyde resin).  The round glass bottles are topped with a thick, round, smooth cap of the same width.  The brush is round and pretty thick with bristles that give some resistance when you try to fan it out.  I had problems with the brush in my last Nails Inc review but this one was cut well and gave me no issues.

The formula itself is nothing short of amazing! It’s thin, maneuverable and well pigmented. I applied two thin coats that leveled out perfectly.  The only odd part was that it dried with a satin finish so you definitely need a top coat.

Nails Inc The Mall is an indigo shimmer. It has a slight duo-chrome effect in that it looks navy in the bottle but with a slight purple sheen. Those colors come together on the nail to create a pretty unique shade. So unique that I don’t have a match for it. If I mixed China Glaze Indian Ocean, a gorgeous discontinued shade, and Revlon Street Wear Grape, another oldie but goodie, I could probably dupe but why would I want to waste two old gems when I can just wear The Mall?

Bottom Line: The formula is pretty epic, the color is stunning and the line and hopefully this color will soon be readily available. What’s not to love?

365 of Untrieds Stash/Share Verdict: No doubt about it, STASHing it.

Nails Inc The Mall is currently available online at NailsInc.com and ASOS.com which do not currently ship nail polish to the US. However, the Nails Inc is coming to Sephora in September 2011 so we’ll keep our fingers crossed that The Mall arrives with it.

Thoughts on The Mall? Figuring that Sephora will carry only a selection of Nails Inc shades, which ones are you most hoping to see Stateside? Any predictions on what the “never been done before” polishes will be?

If it’s the Texture collection (new on the website) then it’s only some mattes and some suedes. Hope it’s better. Obviously this is a brand I can get cheaply in the UK.

You could save yourself a lot by doing some swaps. Nobody I know ever pays full price for these.

    Hooray for this news!!!!

I’m not usually a big fan of blue polish, but this color is gorgeous! I absolutely cannot wait to check out these polishes in September!

I’ve not had the chance to ever try NailsInc. It is great news to hear that we will have access to it state-side!

Woow!! Beautiful!!! Never heard if this brand. Despite that I used to live in UK. Wonder if I can get it anywhere in Norway… Please let me knowif you hear of someone shipping internationally that carries this brand. Thank you for showing us this! :)

Really pretty! I like the bottle too. :)

Now I’m really tempted. I know a store where I could buy Nails Inc. in Germany, but they only sell sets of three bottles. So far I wasn’t sure how good the polishes actually are and if I really want the three different colors. Reading your review really makes me want to go and buy them.

  10. Chris says:

Wow, that color is stunning! I can’t wait for Nails Inc to become available here.

So excited to hear Nails Inc is coming to Sephora in the fall! However, after seeing this color, it’s going immediately on my list to-buy – heading to London in a few weeks for vacation, so will totally be hunting down a bottle to call my own. :-)

Excited for you guys that you’re also getting Nails inc over there. The whole list of products is on their website that you mentioned when you click on the red circle with the US launch title in the top left of the page. We’re a bit sad that you guys get special launch products incl gold crackle but will get over it soon i’m sure :) The 3D glitters are cool but i don’t think there’s really anything that’s truly ‘never before seen’. hope you enjoy them as much as us when it comes around!

  13. Kristina says:

Great news! Thank you for the information!

Wow, this is an awesome color! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it.

  15. Rachel says:

Oh, gosh. This is the color I’ve been waiting for all my life (seriously, I’m always searching for the perfect electric indigo). That is some good news! I hope they bring this color across the pond, I NEED IT ;)

  16. Helena says:

I’m pretty sure they’re not dupes, but this reminds me of CG’s Tempest. This looks redder and more opaque than Tempest.

  17. Brooke says:

LOL! The name “The Mall” reminds me of Robin Sparkles on How I Met Your Mother lol now I have that song in my head ;)

Seems I have something like this – also nothing new shade wise that I have not seen ‘around’ before. It does look pretty on your hands. I tend to stick with these blue hues that are brighter on my toes. They show up too much red on my hands when I wear them as a mani – I need a darker blue to tone down the red in my hand skin.

  19. Jackie S. says:

Wow! This color is seriously ELECTRIC!! I love it!!!

  20. OMG!! I love this color!!

  21. Shaina says:

This is so intensly purple. I love it!

  22. aclineo says:

hmmmm i’ve never tried nails inc. before!

  23. Lulle says:

I think this is really a gorgeous color! Really beautiful.

  24. Nats says:

I bought this a while back as part of a set and this is by far my favourite colour, alongside Hans Crescent (a gorgeous orange/coral shade).

However, I seem to be the only one annoyed with their formula- I have never known a brand to chip as much as Nails Inc! It’s quite disappointing as every colour I use chips within one or two days.
I get better results with cheaper brand Barry M.

I bought my NI colours from QVC (in the UK) and they often come in sets cheaper than if you bought them individually. My mother reckons maybe the formula is poorer because they’re cheaper but I can’t imagine that being the case because that sounds ridiculous (but does this happen?!) and they seem to get good reviews.
I would like to see other people’s opinion on the chipping matter!
