I ordered 5 minutes before the promo ended and it didn’t take my promo — I followed the instructions here (“Just enter the code ZB52 when you check out!”) and it didn’t take. I re-entered it, thinking maybe I hadn’t done it correctly, and it still didn’t appear to add any free items to my cart.

I called them today and they said they couldn’t do anything for me. I spoke to a supervisor (nicely) and they parroted the rep, saying they could do nothing. I get that they can’t send out free stuff all the time, but this was my first order and it seemed in bad faith not to in this case. It left a really sour taste in my mouth. :

    • Kathleen says:

After talking to other people who successfully got the promo, apparently you *don’t* have to enter the items into your cart — when the promo works, it puts them there automatically. So the Zoya phone rep misinformed me. Nothing was missing from the press releases they sent you guys.

        LAST COMMENT I SWEAR.

Still feeling kinda iffy about the customer service I received yesterday, I called Zoya back today to again see if they couldn’t do anything about my promo mixup.

The CSR and her supervisor told me that you *do* have to enter the item into your cart before entering the promo code. The people I talked to online who said you don’t have to were wrong I guess, & the press release wasn’t complete.

After I told her I followed the instructions that I’d seen here (and double-checked on Steph’s Closet) the supervisor decided to send me out the two promo polishes after all.

Not only did they acknowledge that the info they gave the blogs was incomplete, but both of the employees I talked to today seemed to listen and genuinely care – awesome customer service and makes me feel better about the cruddy service I got yesterday. Thanks Zoya!

(post script) I have about 25 Zoya polishes from retail, so as a fan it especially sucked.

  12. chrome-arty says:

what a fantastic deal – my polishes arrived this afternoon, along with the other polish i ordered the deal, adina (which i ADORE). thanks so much for alerting us to this!
