China Glaze Vintage Vixen Fall 2010 Preview

china glaze vintage vixen collection for fall 2010 Fall??  Already??  I know, I know we’re not even into summer yet but aren’t we always looking on the horizon to see what’s next?  It’s time to unleash your inner Dita Von Teese with the 40s inspired Vintage Vixen Collection from China Glaze.

Sultry Fall Colors Entice The Fashionable Palette

For Fall 2010, the China Glaze Vintage Vixen Collection captures the vivid and saturated hues of the 1940’s with this seductively complex palette. These classic shades of the season recreate the timeless tableau of movie land mystique, perfect red pouts and steamy nights where swing was the scene!

You know all it takes is a gorgeous green, blue or purple to get me interested but there’s a lot more than that going on in this collection.  We’re talking micro glitter in silver, copper and gold.  Have I got you intrigued?  Well then check out up close bottle images and color descriptions after the jump!

Step out with these multi-faceted jewel tones, rich reds, titillating taupes and smoldering sands. This collection delivers a high octane 40’s era glamour with a sophisticated edge! The 12 colors in this collection include:

“Cat’s Meow” Six Piece Set

  2. NailPolishFan says:

China Glaze has done it again. I love these colors on this upcoming collection.

  3. Jen says:

I hope they look as good on as they do in those pictures,I really like the “cats Meow” set

  4. Jen says:

Hmm…. I am actually pretty interested in the color “Ingrid.” I love greige creams, but this one sounds like it might have some extra visual interest with the copper microglitter! Actually, I will probably get the whole Hotsy Totsy set. And I’m really curious to see what “Classic Camel” will look like in person – khaki nails could be super cool, but they could also go horribly wrong :)

  5. Grace says:

I love the colors, but frosts aren’t my thing. I will most likely pick up both of the creme/micro glitter colors. Brush strokes drive me batty.

  6. Natalija says:

Classic Camel and Ingrid sound interesting

  7. MakeupYourMynd says:

I’m really liking swing baby and Ingrid which is so unusual for
me cos I usually swing green lol

  8. Sarah says:

I will definitely buy Classic Camel and Ingrid. Some of the others look like colors I already have, and might be similar to the Rodeo collection of ’08 (?). But Classic Camel looks entirely unique to my other colors. Whoo-hoo!

  9. melli says:

I am so looking forward to these, and although I am wary about the term frost, I trust China Glaze to do a great job with the polishes. Thanks for the bottle pics!!

  10. Nicole says:

Amazing colors! Im loving Goin’My Way. I’ve been looking for a pretty copper-y color for awhile. Will they also be available at head2Toe in July? Because I don’t have a Sally Hansen that I can shop at around here, so it’s the Head2Toe website or nothing for me..

  11. Sky says:

Based on these pictures, I don’t know if I will like them or not.

  12. Arrianne says:

Finally! I’ve been waiting for these ever since I caught wind of them.

  13. hontapocasgreen says:

let’s see, July is just two months from now. I can wait, but I am excited!!!

  14. Tanya says:

    I really love Emerald Fitzgerald.

  15. Kimberly says:

I rarely like entire collections. I think this is going to be an exception. I’m saving for them all NOW!

  16. Brittany says:

China Glaze needs to stop with all the shimmer/glitter. It was really refreshing with their spring collection (up up and away?). It’s really disappointing whenever I find a color I like, but it ends up being shimmery.

    • Serena says:

Their last two collections, Up and Away and Poolside haven’t been glitter or shimmer collections. Up and Away was a creme collection and Poolside was neon. There was only one shimmer (Towel Boy Toy) in the Poolside collection, no shimmers in the Up and Away collection, and no glitters in either collection.

      • Brittany says:

Yes! And I loved those collections. However almost every China Glaze color I pick up (permanent line included) has some kind of shimmer.

    • queen frostine says:

As someone who is perpetually bored with cremes, no matter how awesome the shade, I completely disagree!

      • Brittany says:

        Different strokes for different folks!

I just wish they had a few shades in this collection that did not have glitter!

  17. Khabeer says:

Chinatown glazed gives us ANOTHER stellar collection! can’t wait for them all.

  18. Ashley says:

deffinately the cats meow set. the camel and the brown are cool because true browns without red in them are hard to find

  19. SDpfeiffy says:

I’m honestly interested in every one of the shades. Can’t wait for swatches :)

  20. These look a bit too..brown if you ask me. :(

  21. Faith says:

Argh! I hate frosts! But I will defer final judgment until I see the swatches.

  22. Jenny says:

The word “frost” repeated over and over in the descriptions is worrying me. I hope this collection isn’t a streaky, brush stroke-y bust.

  23. daisychain says:

Loving the look of the cats meow set

  24. Jen says:

    Rather ho-hum, I’m afraid.
Classic Camel looks/sounds good. And Ingrid.
But the rest don’t look special. Same old same old….

  25. Silja says:

That’s a LOT of shimmers… I defenitely need to see some swatches before I get excited.

When I saw the first pic I thought there would be some deep jelly-colors. Now I’m a little bit disappointed because these frosty colors always seem to be lighter in nails than in the bottle.

But like I said, I’m waiting for the swatches. I know we will get great ones here! :)

  26. L.H. says:

I like the cat’s meow set and some in the other set as well. The reds don’t look too bad. (I’m ususally not a red fan). I will try to pick some up when they come out. Hopefully we’ll get to see pics.:)

  27. hmmmm! Since not having a job I have been buying more china glaze (OPI can get expensive) they just have such amazing colors one after the other! Up and Away made my head spin! These look awesome too, though I will wait for your swatches because I am nervous about the application.

  28. Kelsey says:

I’m totally getting the green, blue, and purple, but none of the other colors interest me at all. I’m so predictable with nail polish (haha), I just have to buy every blue, green and purple out there! :)

  29. Belle says:

I was mega excited about this collection but the bottle pics didn’t wow me. :( Hoping that this would change once I start seeing swatches because I just love China Glaze!

  30. moeysullivan says:

These appear to be my kinda party!

  31. Serena says:

Riveter Rouge, First Class Ticket, Emerald Fitzgerald, Midnight Mission, Jitterbug, Bogie and Swing Baby catch my eye.

  32. smALtY says:

I usually avoid frost…Must see swatches!!!
    :-)

  33. kay says:

Can’t wait for classic camel! My trench coat is ready!

  34. Jennifer says:

Camel and greige have my attention. :)

  35. queen frostine says:

I’m so glad this collection seems more exciting than last year’s fall collection. After how supremely awesome ’08 Rodeo Diva collection was, I was expecting to be head over heels for the ’09 collection but was left incredibly underwhelmed. It was too warm of a collection for me overall and ha too many red/burgundy/wine shades. This seems like it’ll be much more my speed!

  36. Andrea says:

Classic Camel catches my attention most. Looks very pretty!

But I can’t think about the Fall yet, it’s still dipping below zero degrees at night where I live, so I’m waiting for Spring to come first hehehe.

  37. lara says:

Oooh, this looks lovely. July is right in the heart of winter here as well, so I’ll be perfectly in season to wear them!

  38. Katy M says:

Could Midnight Mission, the navy blue frost with silver micro glitter, be a frosty Essie Starry Starry Night?

    Fingers crossed!

  39. Malefica Dark says:

    I love

  40. Cristina Pomponi says:

I’m already falled in love with Emerald Fitzgerald and Midnight Mission but I’m afraid they won’t be available in Italy. :(

  41. Christine says:

I am looking forward to this, esp classic camel!! (:
