Live the Dream… Reverie

Zoya Nail Polish presents six dreamy new metallic spring 2010 shades.

If metallics are your thing then check out Zoya Reverie when it launches next month.  The six color collection includes a duochrome that looks like a lighter, more purple version of Ki, one of my all time fave Zoyas.

Check out bottle and puddle preview pics of this fun new collection after the jump!

On a side note, I remember when I visited the Zoya headquarters a couple years ago, I asked about Ki because at the time it wasn’t listed for sale and the MUA nail board was all gaga for it. Turns out they had some Ki pigment in the factory and brought it back online. If you haven’t experienced its duochrome-y goodness, you must!

Adina – duochrome violet metallic

The Zoya Reverie collection launches in JANUARY on Zoya.com. Zoya nail polishes retail for $7/ea.

I want to know what you want to see on ALU so when I post previews of upcoming collections, voice your opinions.  If this a collection you’re considering purchasing and want to see swatched, let me know.  If there are just a couple shades you’re dying to see, let me know that as well.  If you’re just “meh” on it, I want to here that too.

The colors are pretty, but I’m always wary of application issues with metallic finishes – I can’t stand looking down at my hands and seeing brushstrokes! I have so many polishes I never use because the sparkly color looked so pretty in the bottle, but awful on my nails. I like Gwin, but I’ll wait for swatches before I buy anything.

  2. Misty says:

Great stuff! I would like to see them all (Sorry) LOL

  3. Patricia says:

I’m looking for a peppy pink (a pink that is bright and happy) so I would love to see the pink *happi* and maybe adina that’s really pretty I can’t wait till these come out!

  4. Heather says:

Oh, I would DEFINITELY like to see swatches of all six!

  5. Kelsey says:

I’m not a big fan of metallics. I am, however, REALLY looking forward to seeing swatches of the new China Glaze Up & Away, OPI Hong Kong, and Orly Bloom collections! Will you be posting swatches of those?

  6. Louisa says:

    I’m loving Adina & Reece!

    • ChynnaBlue says:

I’m interested in Adina and Reece, as well. I think I’d like to see Lana and Happi, too. I feel like I’ve seen colors like these in Zoya’s collection already, so any information you have on close matches would be helpful!

  7. arkanefyre says:

Like Misty said, I like seeing them all – the collections you like and the ones you don’t, if only to know why you feel that way.

It’s also (I think) great feedback for the nail companies to hear why their products are working or not working.

You won’t believe how excited I was reading your interview with Beauty Undercover that said you’re now working full time on ALU! Thanks for all your hard work!

    • All Lacquered Up says:

Thanks for your input! The reason I’m asking is because even though I am blogging full time (for the most part), there are SO many collections coming out that I want to know which ones you all want to see most. Swatching and editing to my satisfaction takes a great deal of time and I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to show everything that launches so knowing which collections have the most interest is valuable.

  8. RB says:

This collection does absolutely nothing for me – boring and done already. If you’re looking to save time on swatching, my vote is for skipping this collection :)

  9. steph says:

i only care to see gwin and lana unless one of the others is surprise greatness when you test it of course

  10. Anne says:

I can’t wait to see Laney and Adina!!! They both look amazing.=]

  11. TropicalChrome says:

I’d love to see this collection swatched. I love metallics, but I’ve noticed there’s a really big difference between bottle and nail, so I tend not to buy them until I’ve seen a bunch of swatches. (Especially duochromes – so many are so beautiful in the bottle, so boring on my hand!)

  12. Cate says:

Michelle please swatch this, I am curious to see how they actually look once swatched because I feel like I see repeats of other Zoya shades :S

  13. i am DYING to see all of this collection!!

  14. Kristina says:

I would really love to see swatches of Adina and Reece! Thank you!

  15. fauxfun says:

Thanks for considering our (your readers’) opinions regarding ALU swatch content! For me, this collection is lackluster. It doesn’t have the *oomph* that other collections currently promise. So, my vote is to pass on the swatches for Reverie.

  16. Virginia says:

I will second what Kelsey said. Up and Away, OPI Hong Kong (especially Jade!), and the Alice in Wonderland collections are what I am really looking forward to seeing!! Your swatches are what I trust the most! Thanks.

  17. swedishfishing says:

I really don’t like metallics, but since Zoya is a company I like a lot (great promotions, huge color range, good formula, etc.) I’m interested in seeing their latest offerings.

  18. Sarah says:

I would love to see all of these, but if I had to pick, I’d like to see Reece and Gwin the most! Thanks!

  19. Susanna says:

Is there a swatch of Ki somewhere?

  20. Jennifer A. says:

I’m interested in swatches of all of these, especially Adina and Gwin. Metallics (and duochromes) are so hard to get an accurate idea of if they’re not swatched! Thanks for asking for our input.

  21. thisizkim says:

    I want Laney!!

  22. cara says:

SNOREEEE!!!!!!! i can’t believe this is even a collection, it’s so freaking boring. i’ll pass on the entire thing!

  23. Maestra says:

I vote for Adina swatches. ;)

  24. Laura says:

I’m not particularly excited about these, but I would still love to see swatches!

  25. Shannon says:

I love metallics, and I would love to see them all swatched. But if I had to pick, I would like to see Adina and Gwin.

  26. Erin says:

I like Gwin and Adina. I’d love swatches of those, but I’m not sure if I’ll actually purchase any of these.

  27. Dorie says:

    Meh…

  28. Katie says:

I’m pretty meh on everything but Laney and Adina… I’d like to see those two swatched. :-)

  29. Jammies says:

I agree with TropicalChrome about metallics being so different between bottle and nail, and I’d love to see swatches of Reece, Happi and Adina.

  30. Liz says:

The collection is a little bit boring indead, but I ‘d love to see Lana and that’s because it’s my daughters name and she happens to love red!!

  31. Marie says:

Personally I’m excited about this collection due to the duochromes, I’m already drooling over Reece and Adina!

  32. tab says:

I would love to see swatches of this collection!!

  33. amy says:

These are all so pretty and I love a good duo chrome colour. I think Adina, Gwin, Lana and Happi are calling my name.
