orly-bloom-spring-2010-nail-polish-collection Walk Through the Wildflowers with this Blossoming Collection

Introducing Bloom, the feminine Spring 2010 Collection from ORLY that captures the colors of nature, straight from the garden. Bold colors epitomize this year’s spring trends with deep pinks, burnt oranges, rich wines and purple blues.

Do you remember when I was at Cosmprof last summer raving about the new greens for Spring coming from SpaRitual and Orly?  Well they’re finally starting to peek their heads out.  I showed you one of the new greens from SpaRitual last week and today I have Wandering Vine from Orly’s Bloom collection along with a preview of the rest of the collection.  Check them out after the jump!

Take a walk through Wild Wisteria in Blue Purple Crème

Blushing Bud for the blushing bride (and everyday girl!) in Pink Crème

Don’t be afraid to get a little fiery with Ginger Lily, a Burnt Orange Shimmer

Thorned Rose’s have a wild streak with Red Wine Crème

A Pure Petunia show’s her sweet side in Mauve Purple Crème

Get lost among the Wandering Vines with Green Crème

Wandering Vine is definitely on my short list of fave colors for Spring. I’ll have to do a side-by-side comparison for you but I’m hoping it’s an inexpensive version of my all-time fave green creme, RBL Recycle.  Wandering Vine has that same vivid gorgeousness though it may be lighter.

The Orly Bloom collection is slated to launch in February 2010 though like Metal Chic it may pop up earlier.  Be on the lookout at your local Sally Beauty and your favorite e-tailer.

I want to know what you want to see on ALU so when I post previews of upcoming collections, voice your opinions. If this a collection you’re considering purchasing and want to see swatched, let me know. If there are just a couple shades you’re dying to see, let me know that as well. If you’re just “meh” on it, I want to here that too.

Disclosure: A product sample was furnished to me by Orly’s PR rep. For further information view my Disclosure Policy.

Swoon! Still waiting on all my greens from the green Friday sale and already I’m pondering another. That is gorgeous. Is that burnt orange shimmer anything like Gwin (from the previous post on Zoya)? I’m thinking I will need at least one of them…

  2. Denette says:

Wow, that is a beautiful green! I too hope it is a cheaper twin to Recycle! *crossed fingers*

Of these shades, that one that I would like to see the most is Pure Petunia. I would also like to see Wild Wisteria and Thorned Roses’s, but if I had to choose just one, it would be PP. BTW, I love your new site setup! Thanks!!

  3. arkanefyre says:

Oooh, please do a side-by-side comparison of Orly Bloom! (the name is reminding me of Orlando Bloom…)

I’ve been hoping for a lighter but still green version of Recycle for a rainbow skittles mani I’ve been dying to do.

    Hi Michelle!

I love your blog in general, but I specifically love posts that involve swatches. This is the reason I first stumbled across your blog a year or so ago–the awesome swatches you do!

It’s awesome to see pics of new collections before they hit shelves, but I also love your CND Mondays and your ALU Archives posts. Comp posts are incredibly helpful, too.

So while I like reading about other bloggers and celebrity nail news, my favorite part of ALU are swatch photos. You just do an amazing job with application and your photos are so great. My nail length, shape, and skintone are similar to yours so it’s like a preview of what colors will look like on me :)

I appreciate all the time and effort it takes to post pics–please don’t stop, LOL!

I’d love to see Thorned Rose and Pure Petunia if you have time :)

  5. TropicalChrome says:

I’m afraid this collection does nothing for me, so I’d vote for the “don’t bother” option. But I know others feel differently!

  6. Sandy says:

I will be stalking my Sally Beauty for these – I love them all! Love your new blog layout – great job and I know it hasn’t been easy but it’s great!

    • All Lacquered Up says:

Thank you! It’s been a rough ride, that’s for sure. Wow, I had no idea what I was in for. I don’t want to say it out loud but I “think” the problems are behind me. There’s just one small glitch still being worked out.

  7. Lackoholic says:

I want to see them all! =)

    • All Lacquered Up says:

Ha! I knew I would get a lot of comments like that. Us fanatics want to see anything and everything. :)

  8. Andi says:

I love this green! The rest of the colors interest me too, I’d have to see swatches before buying though.

Also I’ve been eagerly waiting to see if you have swatches for the China Glaze Up & Away collection. I’m thinking that the whole thing is a must buy for me but I’d love to see your swatches to make sure.

  9. Virginia says:

I could be wrong, but this looks a lot like the one from Once Upon a Time. I would love to see Pure Petunia. I’m looking for a nice mauve.

  10. Lourdes says:

You are such a tease!!! Showing only one color!! Loved it!! Hope you get the time to review the whole collection. They are such cute colors!! Also, are you doing the China Glaze Up & Away collection?? Love your blog!

    • Sarah says:

I’m dying to see that China Glaze collection too. I love your swatches. Thanks for taking the time to post them!

  11. Nicole says:

That green looks pretty fab. I’d love to see a swatch of Ginger Lily too. I think this will be too metallic/shimmery for what I want but I’m curious none the less. For some reason I need a burnt orange right now and I think I have StrangeBeautiful to thank for that. If only I could get my paws on those oranges…

  12. swedishfishing says:

I really dig cremes, so I’m very interested in seeing how these look on the nail. In fact, the cremes from a several upcoming collections look wonderful– China Glaze Up & Away, OPI Hong Kong are the two I’m looking forward to the most.

  13. SDpfeiffy says:

Love the green and very interested in the burnt orange and the pink. I’m wondering if the pink is close to Elephantastic Pink. If so, I’ll pass–every penny counts these days.

  14. liz says:

wow! love them all!!!!! i’d definitely wanna see all of them swatched (except for the orangey one…that’s not at all flattering on me). and like a previous poster said, i wonder if the pink has any dupes…

  15. Andrea says:

I wanna see all the colors!!!

  16. Chelsea says:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so pretty. Please swatch!!! I LOVE Orly!

  17. sara says:

I’d love to see all of them, but particularly Wild Wisteria and Ginger Lily. Love the look of Wandering Vines. You’ve inspired me to branch out in my color choices, in large part because your swatches are so helpful in making my choices. :)

  18. Danielle says:

I’d really appreciate getting them swatched!

Even if I don’t think I’ll buy it, I love having the pictures to reference if I ever need to.
Is that selfish? I hope not!

  19. Bridget says:

Would love to see Ginger Lily swatched – I love the way it looks but worry about how it would look on my skin tone! Need a “real life” swatch example. Wouldn’t mind seeing a swatch of the item on the far right (Petunia?) but not dying for it.

  20. Winn says:

what a fab green! I’d love to see the rest of those babies swatched

  21. Jennifer A. says:

I would like to see swatches of all of these! More specifically, comparison swatches, because many of these polishes look similar to other colors, excepting Ginger Lily. Again, thanks for asking for our opinion. Your swatches are my favorite of all the nail bloggers’ and I’ve missed seeing them for all the collections!

  22. Phyrra says:

I always like to see them all. I’d like to see the Ginger Lily shade in specific.

  23. Reena says:

I just recently found your blog, and I love it.
I like the green, but I wouldn’t mind seeing the rest of the colors as well, if you have time. I am interested in the swatches for CG Up and Away also!

  24. K says:

Would love to see more warm colors from the collections … I often feel left out. Unless the entire collection is swatched, MY colors are often left out.

Granted, this means my own personal collection is not yet out of hand … :).

Looking forward to Orly Ginger Lily, Zoya Gwin, and CG Peachy Keen. Would also love to see a listing of CNDs “warm” and “neutral” cremes. Know of anyone that has published/printed this information?

One day I’ll figure out how to stop buying the “kidding, not really warm but cool” polishes online.

  25. Kelsey says:

How does Wandering Vines compare to Enchanted Forest?

I can’t wait to see the rest of this collection, especially Wild Wisteria. I have a soft spot for “blurples”, even though I own too many already. :)

  26. Debbie says:

Hiya, I’d quite like to see Wild Wisteria, but on the whole not loving this collection, which is just typical as I can buy it from a salon just down the road from where I live – the polishes that I would love to be able to see in person like Zoya and China Glaze aren’t available around here at all! Have to agree with the other posters though swatch all and anything for me, I found your site after googling “difference between french and american manicure” and then found the swatches and that was me hooked!

  27. Jen from Boston says:

I’m a die hard fan of ALU, and I love your swatches. There is nothing in the Bloom series that piques my interest, but I’m certain others are smitten.

I love “burple” the way you love greens, so I’d love to see a good comparisons of burples.. :) But that’s just selfish on my part.

I do have a question: is there one site, besides ebay, for out of stock colors.
I stumbled onto your site when searching for Arabian Nights by Sally Hansen, and honestly, it’s still my all-time favorite color. I just can’t find it anywhere!!
Thank you for all you do, Michelle. I love your blog.

  28. Mc Huggs :) says:

    Hi Michelle:

I want to see them all! Is there a way to just add the remaining color swatches to this web blog? Or just make a new blog and show them all, maybe do a swatch comparison with similar shades of other polishes? Wonder what “Wandering Vine” would look with a “Essie Matte About You” coating?

Your nails are go gorgeous, fabulous, and amazing and that green “Wandering Vine” I definatly want that! It’s a gorgeous shade of I love RGB polishes myself. As a nail polish fanatic the pink and reds would look super on you. So, now that it’s snowing I might even get those too because they would look super with denim jeans, LOL; who cares what I am wearing in my UGGS right?

So, please show the remaining shades, pretty please? Your so good to all your fans!

    ((((Love Michelle))))

    Mc Huggs :)

  29. Laura says:

I would LOVE to see swatches of all of these! With the exception of that orange, they all look really pretty.

  30. elle says:

None look awesome to me in the bottle, but that green on your fingers looks awesome!

  31. Erin says:

The green is great, I always love greens. I’m vaguely interested in the burnt orange shimmer and the blue-purple. Otherwise, the rest are all a pass for me!

  32. Samantha says:

Ooh, I’d definitely love to see swatches of all upcoming colors that you do. I’m still waiting on your swatch for Creative Sapphire Sparkle over Creative Bicycle Yellow. (I’ve got Bicycle Yellow and Ice Blue Shimmer shipping now, but the UPS hasn’t been able to deliver to my town since we’re pretty well snowed in)

Sorry about that off topic bit. But on topic, I’d absolutely LOVE to see the swatches of the rest of the Orly Bloom collection (whenever you can get them) so I can see which ones I want to get.

  33. ReaderRita says:

    Ohhh, love the Wandering Vines!
But of the rest of the collection, I’d love to see Ginger Lily, and Pure Petunia. But Ginger Lily the most- it looks like it needs a broader canvas than the little bottle…and thanks for asking!

And, did anyone else get backordered on their Zoya Green Friday order? I got three of the greens, but the other three were B/O’d. Triple bummer. At least I’ve got the rest of my order to play with!
Yay! I immediately tried the Veruschka…LOVE!

  34. lacquerholic says:

Just looking at that green by itself it looks so similar to Enchanted Forrest. I can’t wait to see it up close so I can do comparison swatches!

  35. Hannah says:

Ohmygosh! I love Wandering Vine, would you be able to swatch it with Orly’s Enchanted Forest? I can’t decide between the two and as I can only buy Orly online to be shipped to the UK I can’t look at the bottle!! Thanks!

  36. Kellie says:

You never posted swatches of the rest of this collection. :( I found them on another nail blog (vampyvarnish), but I was hoping to find them here, because I love your reviews. :( All of the colors in this collection are gorgeous though. I can’t get enough of Orly’s cremes and pastels. Hell, I love their polishes PERIOD! They never let me down. Beautiful colors, great application and LOOOONG wear time. :)
