Eeradicator is totally correct. Your being compared to Imelda Marcos made my jaw drop and not in a good way. Your polishes have been paid for either directly or indirectly by the hard work you put in on this blog (just because you enjoy it doesn’t mean it’s not serious effort expended), not something you stole from someone else. The author should have done a much better job on her research.

That’s such a hard thing to recommend. Without seeing the person’s skintone in person, I hate recommending nudes or “mannequin hands” colors. You really need to look at the undertone in your hands. Like my face has a lot of red in it but my hands are yellow based so I look for nudes with a more yellowish color.

I get what you mean and I don’t think she meant the comparison in an unflattering way. I can’t think of anyone else who’s famous for having a large collection of anything. That always seems to be the first name to come up.

I love that you’re getting some well-deserved attention!

However, there is nothing complimentary about being compared to Imelda Marcos, if for no other reason than the woman’s name is practically synonymous with excess, narcissism, corruption, and greed.

I’m sure the author meant well and only wanted to draw the parallel between your polish collection and Imelda’s infamous shoes. Again, I just think you deserve better.

Super cute article!! Nail polish is much cheaper than purses! I always tell that to people I want to be a polish namer as well, either that or a crayon namer.

What a great article! I love the idea of polish as an accessory…I never thought of it that way before. BTW what shimmering nude would you recommend for someone with a light-medium skintone? Just curious…I have a hard time finding good nude shades.
