BTW, there’s a swatch of grape galaxy on Polish or Perish, but it really doesn’t do it justice – the multi-color shimmer just doesn’t show up in the pictures at all

Just got around to trying out a new Brucci polish last night and as soon as I put it on I made a mental note to check this post to see if it was similar. The polish is called grape galaxy (a dark purple with very fine multi-colored metallic shimmer), and now that I’m looking at your swatches, it’s definitely a more blackened than the boo/baptiste combo and the shimmer is more subtle, but I’d put them in the same family.

The downside is that, I understand, Brucci polish is difficult for people to find outside the NY metro area (Duane Reade drugstores here carry the line and I’ve been using their polishes since my teens), but the good news is that if you DO happen to be in the area, the polishes are THREE DOLLARS a bottle and apply/wear as well as (if not better than) any other brand I’ve tried. Again, this is by no means a dupe but, personally, I’m loving it (and $3!!!).

i just painted my nails with zoya yasmeen for the first time and i noticed that it looked similar to how baptiste looked in these pictures… a dupe?

I love the combo and it inspired me to glam up the OPI light my saphire with some no-name pink based glitter I had lying around…the end result was gorgeous and added a whole new dimension to the purple…I shall be doing this more often now…thanks for the great ideas.
