Welcome to This Week in ALU Pol-history a new series where I transport you a la Mr. Peabody’s WABAC (wayback) Machine to check out my favorite past polish posts. Newbies and old school Fanatics, take a look and see what you’ve missed!

September 2008
Chanel and Seventeen Magazine unveiled their color naming contest winner, the holiday sensation Haute Chocolat.

I took you Backstage with CND at NYFW in my three part The Nail Files series.

China Glaze put a twist on the idea of “winter blues” with the tropical themed Bahama Blues collection.

September 2007
We got our first peek at Zoya Utopia, their holiday collection that included two of my fave shades Akyra and Irene.

I shared the details of my visit to Art of Beauty, parent company of Zoya, Qtica and Nocti.

It was Emmy night and I couldn’t help but love Christina Aguilera’s Old Hollywood look that included fiery red nails.

Well Fanatics, it’s been one heck of a recouping week for me. After returning from New York Fashion Week, I’ve been attempting to get my sleeping and eating schedule back on track, NO ONE eats at Fashion Week, as well as ruminating over everything I saw. In addition to sharing some great new nail collections with you this week, I’ll also be doing my NYFW Wrap Up. There’s lots of fun in the days ahead including a cool, creative giveaway! Enjoy your Sunday and tell us… What’s on your nails?

What gives? It's been a long time since you've posted any straight swatches/polish reviews. I kind of feel like this blog, which used to be my favorite, is becoming more and more about advertisement.

Anon #1 – Cool, I love Nails Inc. What kind of color is Sloane Mews?

Anon #2 – I'm sorry you're so disappointed. It's been like a week since I posted a review and during that time I was in New York for Fashion Week. Besides, this blog isn't just about posting "straight swatches" I like to mix it up. It's not healthy for me to just swatch and swatch and swatch.

I'm looking forward to all of the inside scoop from fashion week!

As a last nod to summer I've got Misa's Baby, I love you on my tips and Charged up from Orly on my toes. :)

I just saw some stuff from the Emmy awards and although it seems that natural/nude nails ruled the day, I was totally taken by the manis of Mary Louise Parker (Weeds) and Christina Hendricks (Mad Men). Any clue what they were rocking?
