Sephora has a glass file in their tools section. Essie makes one as well that you can find at ULTA or Trade Secret. Sally Beauty Supply carries one by Swissco as well.

Where do you go to buy glass files? I have one that my mom picked up for me on a weekend trip to Chicago and absolutely love it, I’ve never found a file thats better than my glass one, but I have also never been able to find any other glass files.

Thanks for posting this! I ordered some adorable tweezerman files from Sephora this week. Skull and cross bones with bows! And red lips with a case. Adorable! I never knew about Tweezerman files until this post!

I love this idea! I do keep an OPI crystal file in my purse (they come in white plastic tubes with a lid) but the tube has been smashed so many times that the lit doesn't fit in the tube anymore and I constantly find the file floating around in my purse. This would be better if they were available at stores instead of only online. I am not sure if one file is enough to justify the shipping cost.

I have a metal OPI file that "folds" out of its plastic case, much like a swiss army knife folds out. I carry one in my purse at all times. Tweezerman also has a mini nail rescue kit for about $20. That has a file, mini cuticle nipper, and mini metal cuticle pusher in a small carrying case, about the size of a large pack of gum.
