Following up on the success of last year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, OPI has released Pink Of Hearts 2. They will be making a donation of $25,000 to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“The fight against breast cancer goes on, and so does the commitment of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help find the cures,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “OPI is proud to join with Komen for a second year, with a second shade of Pink of Hearts. It’s our way of opening our hearts to those who are dealing with breast cancer and celebrating those who have survived it.”

The shade, a creamy warm pink, is semi-sheer but buildable to become opaque. What you see below is two coats but with three the whites disappear.

OPI Pink of Hearts 2 retails for $8.50 and is available at professional salons including ULTA, Trade Secret, JC Penney, Beauty Brands and Regis. I found my bottle at the Great Northern Mall Trade Secret if you’re a local Clevelander looking to score one.

Can you do a color comparison of the pink form last year and this one? I checked your archives and you didn’t have a polish picture:(

I got this awhile ago and like it although I do find it a bit sheer – I had to apply 3 coats.

Ironically, brest cancer treatment has discolored my nail beds to the point where I won’t be able to wear sheer polish for months.

cute but I hate polishes that need excessive coats to elimate the visability of whites..
