I love having Lady Bugs on my toes during the summer although instead of black dots for the spots and eyes I use black gems for spots and diamond rhinestones for the eyes.

I love having art on my toes! I don’t like the maintanence of acrylics, and without them regular nail polish tends to chip very quickly, so I usually just buff my real finger nails. My toes are my area to express myself! At work, I have to wear closed toe shoes, so when I take them off, I want to see some color. I’m 36 years old and would still rock the ladybugs or watermelons! If you don’t like it, just don’t look down.

I read this blog but not every day. I must have missed this. Who on earth cares how old you are? It never occured to me that I was too old (50) for toe nail art. Who would be in charge of deciding…a 20 year old??? (they soon change their minds as they age
I know an 80 year old who does her own pedis and uses bold bright polish.
Do want you want. It’s not like you are committing a crime!

I live in Thailand so a pedicure with nail art costs around $10 US, that’s affordable…

I’ve had bright green with flowers, bright blue with hearts, dark purple with silver stars… I’m just off to New Zealand for a month to visit my Mum so I’m thinking about black with silver ferns or black with glitter and flowers – I’m nearly 50 and having my nails painted gives me so many smiles and I don’t care what anyone thinks.. I love it…

I’m just over 50 and work at a University. I tried art on my toenails this summer and have had so much fun. I wear sandles a lot and have had great comments on my choices. I did the polka dots, white on bright red, they were a kick.

I emcourage women to stop judging themselves or each other about something as innocuous as toe nail art and whether it is ok for a woman over 25. Life is hard enough so if we want to spice up ours with some playful nail art on out toes, why do we suppport each other in having a bit of fun!

I think it’s a great idea, a way to express a fun personality. It’s probably not for everyone – A nice french look on people who are less ostentatious would probably be fine for them. But little designs on toes I think are so cute, especially with a toe ring and sandals.

It’s adorable! I’m definitely going to try polka dots, maybe the ladybugs (a google search turned up a strawberry pedi that was pretty cute too). I agree with a comment above, nail art is best left for toes…you can’t hide fingers if the need arises. I’m well over 25 and work at a law office, and I still think it’s a big “yay”–that’s what closed toe shoes are for!
