Ladies, there is a fundamental misunderstanding here. Most do NOT have toes and legs pretty enough to go bare, sorry the truth must come out. Hose help cover the problem. So your mantra is wrong, toes and hose? Absolutly!

see….. i have to do that. at the salon i work at if we wear any type of shoes that expose our feet/toes (strappy heels/wedges, peep-toes) we have to wear nylons to cover our feet. nobody likes the rule but you gotta do what you gotta do.
anywhere else i wont, but i still dont think its too bad when others do. its better than the socks with heels…AHHH!!!

Women really are clueless.Most men really love the look of reinforced toe pantyhose with sandals or any open toed shoe.I can't understand how women worry over this when I see women wearing tight tops while they muffin top over their jeans.A spare tire is so much uglier than a woman wearing any kind of pantyhose with any shoe.

It’s little wonder that so many woman fail to either get or keep a man with the kind of clueless pontificating by women that is on display here.

Women look 100% more feminine, 100% classier and 100% sexier when wearing hose – period. Fine, avoid the reinforced toes with sandals but don’t ever, ever think that your, typically, appalling skin and toes in sandals looks better than a *lady* wearing the same with sheer sandal toe hosiery – you are just dreaming if you think otherwise and trust me, typically, men *LOVE* seeing a ladies feet and toes in hose …

Hose manufacturers could and should do more here I think – most reinforced toe hose has a reinforcement that is both too thick and too small, yes too *small* … A larger but thin and still see-through reinforced toe area that FULLY covers the toes is way nicer to see. Most hose now have a reinforcement area that is like 5 times thicker than the rest of the hose and that stands out too much, it’s also way too small an area that hardly covers the toes and ends up getting twisted etc which can look awful …

Ladies, what is wrong with you all? Haven’t you have better things to do other than complain about something so irrelevant such as this hose with open toed shoe thing? These so-called fashion experts have apparently brainwashed each and every one of you. In fact, most of we men find absolutely nothing wrong with women who wear hose with open toed shoes. We think it’s a rather sexy sight and not an eye sore. If you ask me, it’s a major turn on for me. To me, the real eye sore is bare legs and feet with open toed shoes in the cold weather. That does not turn me on one bit. If you wanna do that then save it for summer. If you ask most guys, they’ll say that women wearing hose with open toed shoes is definitely not a crime. I’m sure most of your husbands or significant others would agree. Don’t listen to the fashion police. It’s a free country, so live free.

American Apparel sells ‘stirrup tights’–there are holes in the tights for the toes and the heels. It’s a funky look that I actually quite like.

Maybe the lawyers are smart enough to realise that in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t really matter .

If I’m free to run around with five colours on my toes, or lurid green, or whatever mad colours someone, somewhere probably decided is a tragic faux pas, then these people are free to wear open toes with closed hose.

…I’ve been known to wear socks with mine *flees fashion police*
