China Glaze Winter 2007 Preview

I know, I’ve tortured you all with enough polish lemmings for fall. How can I even dare mention winter or the holiday season? Well, look below and you’ll understand.

When I first started this blog, I made a list of polish hopes and resolutions for the coming year and one of them was for a fantastic green polish. Now I don’t want to take undue credit but somehow my wish became reality. First was Rimmel Underground Fast Play Camouflage, then Zoya Tangy and NYX Las Vegas and finally Zoya Suvi. Well now we can add China Glaze to the list of dream makers.

Hitting shelves in September, the SKI Collection has what looks to be another fabulous green. I’m all fluttery just thinking about it.

These look nice and metallic, but I wonder how frosty the pearl finish will look.

Do you know the release date? I can’t wait to see Avalanche & frostbite IRL!

Is this the first CG collection without “The Big 3″? If not, can you tell me which one was?

Also, I know that OPI has reformulated its shades to exclude these chemical “bad guys”. have you had the chance to test them out yet? If not would you consider doing a comparison with new formula vs. old formula and possible, vs. an established brand like Zoya? I just found your blog a few weeks ago. I read about you in “Salon and Spa” and in Kim Crow’s interview with you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your awesome, honest info. I agree with 99% of your reviews on identical products.

This is completely unrelated to this post, but I was hoping you could offer some advice.

I’m looking for the closest possible match to a discontinued shade, Creative NFS. It’s a darkened teal/green, and everything I’ve found is just too light or too green.

I’d appreciate any guidance from the goddess of nails! I love your blog, I read it religiously!

Newsy – I hope to have swatches up by the beginning of next week.

Anon – I was told the collection would release in September but they are up for sale on transdesign.com

Jesi – Thank you for finding my blog. I’m so glad that you like it. I believe that For Audrey was the first polish from China Glaze with the new Big 3 Free formula. The X Collection and Metallics are also with the new formula.

Ryane – I’ll check for a NFS match and comment when I find it.

Sweet, I didn’t know about the nail hardener in China Glaze. I’m definitely going to have to try that out… It’d be nice to have hardener in the polish rather than have to put it on under a base coat. It tends to make the polish peel off easier in my experience…

    That is a fantastic green.

I want the green, the blue, and the black. And maybe a few more.
These collections are coming out faster than I can keep up with.

The OPI Russian collection next week, and now I want these.
Thanks Cincy for keeping us so up to date.

Do you know when the Creative Fall collection will be available?

I don´t think any of them are for me, wich is a good thing since I have a long shoppinglist full of cravings this fall :)

You’re killing me! I’m still waiting for downtown collection from Zoya!

Hey ladies! Head2Toe are selling them now, hurry before they’re out of stock!

So excited! I’m still a wuss when it comes to polish so I’m probably just going to go for the Vertical Rush. Waiting for your swatches no matter what though!

Thank you so much for mentioning about China Glaze being free of the Big 3 with the newer colors, and for clarifying when that started. That definitely got my attention! Starting my list now…. :)
